Story
Six million years ago, at the very dawn of the starfaring era, Abigail Gentian fractured herself into a thousand male and female clones: the shatterlings. Sent out into the galaxy, these shatterlings have stood aloof as they document the rise and fall of countless human empires. They meet every 200,000 years to exchange news and memories of their travels with their siblings.

We need more books set in this universe!

This is the 3rd book in 2 weeks I’ve listened to by this author and narrator combo. John Lee is a great fit for Reynolds style of sci-fi.
They are quickly becoming one of my favorite duos, up there with Craig Alanson and RC Bray or Dennis E Taylor and Ray Porter.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Having read all of Andy’s books (well the big 3, Artemis, Project Hail Mary, and The Martian), I just got get enough.
1. Andy clear puts an enormous amount of effort into the true science parts of his books. I’m not a scientist but I am married to a Physicist and I know enough to understand the effort he puts into is writing to get things as accurate as possible while staying entertaining.
2. HWill HWheaton did a phenomenal job narrating the book. You’ll always be HWeasley to be sir, but I tip my hat to you’re audible narration skills. Ready Player One was also fantastic.
3. Andy please keep up the good work. I LOVED Project Hail Mary and can’t wait for what your mind comes out with next.
4. Cool HWhip!

Story
The Merry Band of Pirates offered the bad guys a ceasefire. We won’t mess with them, if they don’t mess with us. Easy, right? No. The aliens chose to do things the hard way. So, the Pirates are racing around the galaxy to clean up the threat to Earth. The infant UN Navy has their own mission with the Alien Legion: Get humanity some allies in the fight. And the Ethics & Compliance Office might have to do something...ethical. Unless they can find a way around it.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Incredibly Interesting and a must read!
Reviewed: 13-11-19
As a technologist just 1 year younger than Ed, I found this book incredibly interesting and I feel I relate to him in many ways. I think he's an incredibly brave person who has been exiled for doing the right thing, and this books allows him to give his side of the story and it is amazing.
I have recommended this book to all of my colleagues because I both enjoyed it thoroughly as well as my desire to support Ed in anyway I can. I hope he reads this and knows that there are many out there that look up to him and respect the choices he made in the interest of the greater good.

I've just finished this book, after reading the Bobiverse series. I have to say, I loved them all. The stories are oozing with science fiction nerdery, so much so I found it impossible to put any of the books down.
Please keep up the amazing work Mr. Taylor.
