Story
On a warm spring evening, guests gather in a perfectly manicured garden to celebrate Maggie and Len’s twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Maggie leans against the apple tree, watching her fun-loving husband and darling children as her heart swells with pride. As the joyful party atmosphere disappears into the night, close by, the lifeless body of a young woman is pulled from a river. Slipping upstairs to find the special gift for her adoring husband, Maggie stumbles across something else hidden amongst the dusty boxes of family keepsakes.

Main characters were weak and extremely irritating. Wasted so much of their time (and mine!) not being honest with each other. Liked the narrator though.

Ruby Matthews has a plan - 12 jobs in 12 months, until she finds the one of her dreams.... After an unexpected redundancy, Ruby begins to question her priorities. Inspired by a quote from Kahlil Gibran about loving your work, she launches her mission to find the ideal job. Her year of gainful (and sometimes painful!) employment includes nannying for clients in the South of France, dealing with embarrassing ailments in a Harley Street clinic, waiting tables in a buzzy Soho cafe and meeting the celebs of years gone by in a home for retired actors.

Story
Detective Chief Inspector Beth Fellows is thrown into the biggest case of her career: the brutal murder of Rose Danes. She quickly realizes Rose’s murder is linked to a cold case she investigated two years previously. The victim, 14-year-old Celine Wilson, survived but now languishes in a coma. Both girls were branded with the image of a raven. The only lead is a vague description and a first name, Simon.

Took a little while but loved this trilogy so much I’m already searching for more. I’m not sure if there’s a prequel to this box set, but I do think there’s a lot to Beatrice that’s not yet been fully revealed. Fingers crossed for more of these on Audible.
