Story
Kitty Harris has it all: cosily coupled up with boyfriend Archie, she’s putting in the hours at an ad agency to land her dream job. OK, so maybe they’ve become a bit too comfortable in their routine, with pizza night every Thursday, and maybe the agency isn’t so much up-and-coming as been-and-gone, but Kitty is happy. Until one diamond ring sitting pretty in her pepperoni ruins everything. Kitty does NOT want to get married, not after being caught in the crosshairs of her parent’s destructive divorce.

Feel good rom-com
Reviewed: 09-06-24
I really enjoyed this! perfect for when you just want an easy listen, really liked the characters and the narration was good too. It's a typical rom-com and you know exactly how it's going to end but it was written well so that didn't bother me!

Story
Ever since I met my handsome husband Dr Gabe Bonneville, I started playing the role of the perfect housewife. He works hard as a surgeon, so I look after our home, and throw elaborate dinner parties with champagne cocktails for his best friends Hugh and Anita. He’s my safe place and my chance to have the family I’ve always wanted. I’ve managed to hide the mornings when I wake up and see a face in the shadows. I haven’t told Gabe the truth about the woman who raised me, or told him about the therapy I’ve been getting so my secrets stay hidden in the dark.

Really enjoyed this book, it catches your attention straight away and keeps it right until the end! I also found it really interesting the way the story was told from several points of view, of not only the two main characters, but also other less prominent characters through interviews. I also really liked that the story was almost left to your own interpretation of what the real truth actually was. Will definitely be listening to more from this author
