soundcore by Anker Sleep Earbuds

I’ve been using a beat up broken Hoomband for a couple years thinking any ear bud was never going to feel good in my ears. I always end up with sores and the buds are always too big for my ear canal. ***Cue Hallelujah Choir!!!*** THESE BUDS ARE DA BOMB!!! BEST EVER! Zero pain! Cant feel them when sleeping…and I’m a 100% side sleeper..according to their incredible sleep app! Tells me how long I slept, percentage of time in deep, light sleep, how many times I moved, and how many times I woke…along with amount of time. Great selection of different size buds for perfect painless fit. Doesn’t cancel noise 100% however wasnt a deal breaker for me. I need to hear a bit, living on a ranch. Battery life has really surprised me…last long and easy quick charge! I’m sorry I didn’t take the plunge a year ago! Best purchase for amazing sleep!

The unboxing experience was decent; it comes with a 1ft USB to type-c charging cord, a user manual, and a good selection of tips and wings. The case and earbuds were fully charged for me on arrival.

The case is lightweight with a pleasant texture and makes up for its width by being reasonably thin.

They fit very well and sit almost flush with my ears, leaving little pressure when lying on my side. I shook my head to test if they'd stay in, and they didn't budge from what I could tell. I haven't tried the breathable tips yet, but the normal ones do a mighty fine job.

It's important to note that they are noise masking, not noise canceling, so they work more like earplugs if you aren't playing anything, but I have a small window unit ~9ft from my bed and couldn't hear it with ASMR playing unless explicitly trying to.

The sound quality is average for earbuds, but that almost works in its favor as earbuds for sleep. I wouldn't recommend them for all-day music listening, but I would recommend them for music listening while falling asleep.

I haven't messed with the app too much, so I wouldn't take this as definitive, but it isn't half-bad. There was a firmware update for the earbuds, which had no issues installing, and it features the ability to create sleep sounds. There are options to stop the music once you've fallen asleep, switch to sleep mode once you've fallen asleep, calibrate the sleep detection, and customizable tapping actions.

All around, a 10/10 product. I took a nap for the first time in over a decade with these. Remember that your ear sizes and shapes, audio preferences, and sleep habits will influence your experience!

The sleep buds are quite comfortable. They may provide less sound masking that Bose (which I had before they broke down), but the ability to design your own sounds is helpful. Sleep analysis is a good gadget and overall the Soundcore A20 seem more technolgically advanced comparing to Bose. Being half the price is also not a bad thing.

Very pleasantly surprised!

I rarely leave reviews but these earbuds have blown me away. I’ve been a nightly Hoomband user for 3+ years and I’ve tried Bose Sleepbuds (couldn’t justify the price as you couldn’t use them with Calm/Spotify etc). When I saw the A20s, I read a lot of reviews and was a little sceptical as people had commented on the sound quality but I’ve been using for 3 nights now and I’m so pleased I bought them. They’re at a much more accessible price range compared to the Ozlos and a lot more discreet than the Hoomband. I’m a side sleeper and they are unbelievably comfortable; after getting settled, I don’t even know they’re there. Battery seems excellent (albeit 3 days in). I’ve been using Bluetooth for 7/8 hours a night and battery was 70% after night 1 and 30% after night 2. They’re not noise cancelling but if you take the time to get the right fit of the buds (comes with a good size selection) it blocks out a lot of sound.
Highly recommended!

c'est un sans faute. Par rapport à la version A10:
- son un poil meilleur
- encore plus léger et moins proéminent, vous pouvez dormir sur le côté sans les sentir du tout
- plus aucun problème de déconnexion aléatoire
- une couleur beige qui va mieux durer dans le temps
