2,0 van 5 sterrenGood screen, but batterylife makes the product unusable

The screen and weight make it a good reading experience. But it has several major flaws which make it an unusable product.
First: it has a airplane mode, which disables WiFi. That means my progress and highlights are not in-sync with my other devices (iPad and phone). I need to disable airplane mode, sync and re-enable airplane mode. With a Kobo, I never had this frustration.
When you decide to leave airplane mode on, you will notice that baterylife is about ONE (1) day. Probably because WiFi stays on when the device is off. After waiting for about a year on software updates to fix this, I gave up, and switched to Kobo.
Ergonomics: medium-poor if you ask me. Since the backcover is of metal, it slips easily.
Worst of all: the device has a sleepcover sensor, which you CANNOT disable! I use a sleeve to store the device, which is nothing more than a sheet of fabric. I used to store my Oasis on top of, or below, my iPad. Since this iPad has magnets built-in, it turns on the Oasis when it is stored in it's sleeve. Another battery drain. And really annoying to store both devices separate from each other (imagine travelling).
Also, integration with the Kindle store is strong, which is both an advantage as a disadvantage. The device is really pushing to buy more books. On the frontpage, for example. And when finishing a book is another example. Reading from other sources (like PDF, ePub, GetPocket integration), is not possible, or really hard. So if items are in the Kindle store, it works great. In all others cases it's lacking.
To summarize: whenever I pick up the Oasis, it mostly tells me, for different reasons, that the battery needs charging. This makes the Oasis unusable in practice. In the recent past I lost my Kobo ereader for several weeks. When I got it back it still had about 50% of battery. With Kobo, off is really off. So I switched (back) to Kobo.
