Ik heb veel rijstkokers uitgeprobeerd. Tot nu toe is dit de beste rijst koker. De meeste rijst kokers brand de rijst aan de pan en dan kan je na 2 maanden alles weggooien. Deze heeft dit totaal niet! je hoef het ook niet af te wassen. Even vochtige doek er door heen en hij is schoon! deze rijstkoker is over algemeen ook veel zuiniger dan veel andere rijst kokers.Koop ook nooit een rijstpan met teflon anti aanbaklaag. Deze pans is de binnenkant keramisch waardoor de kwaliteit veel beter is.

Twee keer rijst gekookt met de rijstkoker. De rijst is mooi droog en na een paar keer omscheppen heb je een mooie losse korrel. Er is geen korst als je het programma volgt waardoor je geen rijst kwijtraakt. De rijst koekt helemaal niet aan. Voor sommige rijstsoorten zal je de hoeveelheid water iets moeten aanpassen om het perfecte resultaat te behalen. De rijstkoker doet er wel best lang over wanneer je een speciaal programma gebruikt. Houd daar dus rekening mee.

It feels and looks just what you can expect for this price point. The rice is always perfectly done no mess and no rice sticking to the pan. I would certainly buy another one when this one breaks down.

We really like this product. So far it was very good to use it and our rice turns out very nice. One criticism is the size, our kitchen is not very big and this device takes up a lot of space on the counter. Just be aware of that. Otherwise, amazing product so far.

P.s. if we buy it again, we would go for a smaller alternative called Panda 🐼

I brought the Japanese rice cooker (made by Hitachi in 2012, it was around 800 euros) when I moved to the Netherlands from Japan, but it broke suddenly so I purchased this because the Japanese vendor one (e.g. Zojirushi) was a bit expensive.
From the quality of view, the original one was better, of course. However, the taste is almost the same as the Japanese high-quality one and it can steam Japonica rice (such as Sushi-rice in Europe) well.
As I am Japanese, I can recommend it to everyone (European but also Japanese) who is looking for a reasonably priced rice cooker with a good quality but no need a best.
The only one small tip is that the bowl is not good anti-sticky.

I was looking for a new ricecooker combi (with slow-cooking functionality) where I can trust that my rice gets treated the best. And I am definitely impressed.
The sakura is easy to use, it has good recipe tips in the manual and you can use it for a multitude of dishes.
Since we have it we've eaten more rice, but also steamed veggies and fish, wich go in the steamtray above the rice. And I use it to slowcook pulled chicken, beef and make soups. The slowcook function is about the same as the 'high' function on a normal slow cooker, there is not a low function as far as I know.

Pro's:
- Easy to use
- Easy to clean/disassemble
- Perfect rice
- The many functions

Con's:
- There is no on/off button. You can only turn it off by holding the cancel button for a few seconds, but to turn it on you have to take the plug out and put it back in.

Edit: you can turn it back on by holding the cancel button too!

I bought this rice cooker mostly for the steaming functionality. Because I could cook rice perfectly fine.
Then I got it and thought to my self: what's the harm in trying to cook rice in it to test it out? An oh my lord and all the angels. I did not know how to cook good rice.

The first sign was the scent that greeted me when it beeped to tell me the rice was done. The whole kitchen smelled of that amazing rice smell you get in high quality Asian restaurants. At this point, I was getting excited.

Then I popped the lid and saw a perfect bed of cooked rice. I took the spatula and stirred it. It was stick but not mushy and just like rice should be.

I scooped up a generous amount on my plate and took a little sample to test. I could swear the heavens had opened up and a choir was singing. Warm, sticky and still with a little chew. Perfect in ways I thought you needed years of professional training to achieve.

This thing is now my best friend. In case of a fire its first the dog, then the rice cooker. The boyfriend will have to fend for himself.
And yes, the steaming functionality is just as amazing. Just buy it, you won't regret it.

We chose this because our rice cooker broke and because it’s featured on many you tube cooking streamers and we can see why it is their preferred rice cooker etc. we love that it is multi functional, rice cooker, slow cooker, soup maker with lots of features and settings. It’s easy to use and easy to clean, the food doesn’t stick to the inner dish and it washes easily with warm soapy water. We save a lot of space because it is multi functional. I would recommend this product. We have started cooking a whole lot more and making delicious Japanese and Korean food and eating much healthier.
