Works well. Battery lasts just over a week. Was easy to sync with my phone (iPhone) initially.
What I like less is that step count is not so accurate (fine for what I need but tends to under-count). Also, does not recognise if I am cycling unless I put it as if I am competing. And often has issues syncing with mobile to save bike route.
Finally, not many main screen options (limited colours and presentation)
But all in all, very good quality - price ratio.

I decided to try Xiaomi band 8 after losing my XB7. To be honest, I haven't noticed many improvements in this new model. Basically, it's the same watch with a slightly different design and a couple extra functions. The problem for me was counting calories during a workout. I have a standard workout that I've been doing for a while and I tried wearing different fitness bands while doing it. No matter what band I wore, the amount of calories was always more or less the same. XB8 counted half of my usual amount and the heart rate was lower than it always is during this workout. I find it very demoralising, so I decided to return XB8 and get a good old XB7 instead.

I like the new form factor (coming from a band 4 and then 5) and display. But that’s where it stops.

It’s like going in reverse. What’s xiaomi doing? From mi fit to Zepp to mi fitness. From working fine with band 4 and 5 with mi fit to Zepp (which didn’t do anything better for the user other than annoyance) to having a horrible experience with mi fitness with band 8. Losing all you Zepp data in the process as I can’t even transfer that. And even if it would work, only partially I understood.

Connection issues all the time. Music control never works automatically without going manually to a huge menu to “more” settings and then clicking music to make it work after checking BT x times until it works. Only to then being disconnected again on the next wake. Argh!

Always has connection issues with mi fitness app using an iPhone 13 Pro Mac. Doesn’t detect Bluetooth properly. This is exactly the reason to spend 10x more on an Apple product. Just a horrible user experience.

Xiaomi, do a better job! Make the products more expensive if need be for proper development, because this is simply horrible.

The charger magnet is also a step back and doesn’t connect as easily as the (round plug) one of the band 5. What is going on?! And why a white charging cable if I order the black band 8?

Also, none of all those selectable skins do what I want to display. It’s either very minimalistic or super busy. Would love more customization to simply see time, date and steps, just like band 5 could do, and ideally also some additional options like weather etc. Or is it weird to expect improvements on a newer iteration instead of going backwards?
Every skin offers one thing without the other. Super annoying. Especially considering there are so many skins.

I’ll try some more days and either update the review or return the item. Band 4 and 5 was much better. Too bad my band 5 screen has a crack in it. Maybe it’s time for a different brand.

I bought it the first time around February, the screen just went black so I returned it and after two months, the screen went black again. I tried draining power and recharging, but even after that the device did not start again. Now I cant even return the order since its two months after ordering. I would be very mindful of buying it.

The smart band 8, unlike it's predecessors, does not work with the Zepp Life app (which was the app used for these watches and the Amazfit watches, and was quite capable). This band uses a different app, Mi Fitness, which is completely underdeveloped and doesn't offer a fraction of the features compared to Zepp Life and is broken in some features (they simply will not work).

I got this to sync to google fit and add to my data but they stopped zepp / amazfit compatability except for transfering old data.

So far the band seems only compatable with Strava for workouts but you can only view other data (sleep, heart, etc) in the Mi Fitness app and it doesn't import data to Google Fit, or export to it.

Also to get the band tight enough on my small wrist makes the face dig into it and the way to secure it is really fiddly and hit and miss. Also I find it the only band too awkward to sleep in.

A entrega foi muito demorada, demorou demais na alfândega e depois ainda uns 3 dias pro vendedor pagar a taxa. Mas o envio pelo vendedor foi rápido e pelo custo benefício do produto super compensou esperar tanto tempo.
O relógio é maravilhoso e tem até sensor de brilho automático. A interface é bem simples e fácil de mexer. A conexão bluetooth com o celular chega consideravelmente longe (cerca de uns 100m). A sincronização com o celular é imediata, não dá pra perceber nenhum delay quando uma funcionalidade é acionada no relógio pro celular.
Tela bem sensível ao toque mas extremamente resistente. Já bati ele na parede sla quantas vezes (sem querer óbvio) e não fez nenhum arranhão.
Dá pra tomar banho com ele mas não recomendo muito não, a tela é bem sensível a calor então se vc tomar banho quente com ele ou entrar numa sauna é capaz de a tela ficar meio loucona.
Todas as opções de verificação de sinais vitais são quase 100% precisas, assim como o monitoramento de sono.
Pulseira bem confortável, dá pra dormir com ela tranquilamente.
Carregamento ultra rápido e a bateria dura uns 12 dias tranquilo com os modos padrões. Se acionar o monitoramento de sono profundo REM, por exemplo, a bateria dura uns 6 a 8 dias.

After being a loyal FitBit customer, I decided to try something different after a lot of frustration with my Charge 5. It keeps shutting down during the day, even with >90% battery. The Fitbit customer service is always helpless wasting so much of my time to resurrect it. After reading many reviews I decided to give this watch a try, and I'm so impressed. Not only cost 1/3 of the Fitbit Charge, but this Xiaomi is a much better product:
- Better screen, vivid colors and high luminosity
- Much faster, at least 3X faster than the Fitbit on scrolling and using the watch
- More options
- Better App. The app is minimal but with everything you need. I can also monitor my heartbeat during my sleep, a feature that is considered "premium" on the Fitbit = monthly subscription

After a week I bought another one for my wife with a nice fancy metal band.

Summary: very recommended, best value for money for this category of smart watched.

Llegaron muy bien en sus cajitas y al introducir el código de Xiaomi confirmamos que era original. El reloj es un aparato que tiene muchas funciones muy útiles y cuenta con algunas mejoras que el modelo anterior.

- A diferencia del 7 la correa no es una sola pieza, sino son dos que se atoran con un mecanismo de ganchito. Si tienes un modelo anterior no vas a poder reutilizar las correas.
- La pantalla tiene un buen tamaño (casi el mismo tamaño que el 7).
- Incluye más opciones de deporte que el 7, y en general tiene un buen desempeño (al menos en natación que es mi caso).
- La aplicación (Mi Fitness) tiene las mismas funcionalidades que Zepp Life y los datos se pueden exportar fácilmente al hacer una cuenta, en términos generales no noto diferencias significativas entre una y otra.
- Se puede personalizar fácilmente el fondo, los widgets y el menú.
- Automáticamente al sincronizarla la pulsera se pone en el idioma que tengas en tu teléfono.

En conclusión me parece un excelente producto por un precio razonable. Si estás pensando en regalarla o es la primera vez que vas a comprar una, definitivamente recomiendo. Si eres usuario de las MiBand y quieres renovarte la recomiendo si tienes de la 6 para atrás, el salto de la 7 a la 8 no siento que sea tan grande y creo que en todo caso valdría la pena esperar el siguiente modelo.

Cómoda, funcional, bien acabada, ligera y muy completa para lo que cuesta.
No es necesario gastarse una pasta en relojes, si lo que te interesa, es un gadget discreto que realice mediciones orientadas a la actividad deportiva.
