Good book, with interesting insights from the writer.

Sometimes I had the feeling that many aspects of the storyline could rather be told in a 15 min presentation or suchlike. If you watch Simon's Youtube videos, then you will already grasp 60-70% of the essentials.

However, in the end, the book is still entertaining, and would still 100% recommend it. Even though though there is a lot of repetition, I believe it can help to really retain the concept in the long term.

This book gives a very good explanation of what makes a leader and what you need to become one.
It is one of the best books on the subject of understanding why you do what you do to make a living whether you are a small business or a large corporation.
The ideas presented in this book are very interesting and well developed with insight as to what a great leader should be doing.
I'm a believer that we should all start with WHY.

Sinek writes a lot about his experiences in the Military. I.e. hierarchic, rule & control based organizations, based on 20th century thinking. A.D 2022 the world is different. Around 2030 the role of "CEO" will become obscured, by 2040 it will have seized to exist. More and more, public, private and voluntary organizations shift to self-organizing collectives. Young, talented and highly educated professionals simply refuse to work in any organization that follows Industrial Age Organization Principles. Organisation models like Agile, Lean, Holocracy and the latest innovative model, The Swarm Organisation, are rapidly being adopted by the masses. Ask yourself WHY this is happening and WHY the ideas of Sinek are already outdated?
