CREATIVE Stage SE mini Compacte Onder-monitor Soundbar met Bluetooth 5.3, USB Digitale Audio, Voor PC en mobiel

I bought this soundbar to replace some ageing PC speakers. It's decent enough for the price, but comes with a highly annoying 'feature': the soundbar will put itself into sleep mode after a couple of minutes of inactivity, and only snaps out of it if you turn up the volume.

Let's say you finished watching a video, you browse some website in silence for 10-15 minutes and then you want to watch another video. Now the video is silent, because the soundbar is in sleep mode, and you'll have to increase the volume to wake it up again.

What takes this from "mildly infuriating" to "highly irritating" is the fact that this sleep mode is not only activated during absolute silence, but also when the sound is below a certain threshold. Want to play some music softly while you work? Nope, the soundbar will go into sleep mode. Feel like watching a video at low volume so as not to wake up the rest of the house? Sleep mode. Some games with gentle ambient sounds and subtle audio cues will just turn silent unless you play them at high volume.
And remember, to get it out of sleep mode, you'll have to turn up the volume quite a bit to push past that threshold and wake it up again, so if you were hoping to keep the noise down, you're out of luck.

The soundbar is plug and play, so there's no software that allows you to adjust these settings. Turning off this sleep mode is not an option. It also doesn't show when it slips into sleep mode, no LED or on-screen prompts - it'll just turn quiet.

If you generally play/watch/listen at medium volume or higher, then this might not be a problem for you. If, however, you want some discreet control over the volume you produce when using your PC, I suggest you look elsewhere.

A compact soundbar, the Creative Stage SE fits nicely under most monitors. The volume knob on the right of the unit works quite well; this sounds like a given, but I'd take a large knob (ha ha) over tiny mushy volume buttons.

Unfortunately, the Creative Stage SE sounds worse than a car stereo. The bass is muddy and the treble is a bit thin. Applying an equalizer helps a little, but this isn't going to be replacing a home stereo anytime soon. For retro gaming or podcasts, it sounds fine. Price is a little expensive for what you get here.

Creative has done better in this department before. Hope the next model ups the sound quality.

A bang for the buck for sure. It sites perfectly between my monitor and riser, the single USB-C cable that powers the device and delivers audio is a great feature to minimize the mess, and the knob on the side is a convenient feature too. I love this desktop soundbar.

Soundbar molto bella e piccola, occupa poco quindi perfetta per spazi ristretti. Comoda l'alimentazione tramite cavo usb. Non ha una grande la potenza, suona si bene, ma non raggiunge picchi di potenza. Per la TV in cucina fa il suo dovere.

Sonido que está más que bien por los 40€ que vale. La barra es pequeña, cabe debajo de cualquier monitor.

Pequeño fallo que le veo: funciona por USB-C. Se alimenta de esa forma y de esa misma forma recibe la señal de audio. Sí tienes un PC sin entrada USB-C pues no la puedes usar, a menos que la conectes a una fuente alimentación de smartphone que sea USB-C y luego la conectes al PC por bluetooth. Ahora si tu PC tampoco tiene bluetooth, pues toca comprar un dongle bluetooth USB junto con la barra. La barra en si, solo viene con un cable USB-C a USB-C. No lleva nada más.

I dont know why there are no Indian reviews for this product. Personally, i am very happy with this purchase. I am no audiophile but for me the bass and audio clarity is perfect. The volume knob is super convenient and its just plug and play with just a type c cable. It works with Ps5 as well.
