Good Quality Model / Poor Quality Game

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟
P͟o͟s͟i͟t͟i͟v͟e͟s͟: The Khar-Kushan mothership model is nice quality, a bit bigger than expected which is GREAT. The paint and decal quality is acceptable. The hanger bays and engines light up, with the most impressive illumination in the capital ship construction bay on the underside. The model stand is also nice and sturdy and I really like that the power cable is USB. The light's stay on for as long as the model is connected to power.

N͟e͟g͟a͟t͟i͟v͟e͟s͟: When the button to activate the lights is pressed, it plays the hyperspace jump sound effect which is LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS. What doesn't help is that the little speaker inside is of poor quality which results in something that sounds like a polyphonic ringtone you'd find on a cellphone from 2002. I wish I could disable the speaker as this is the biggest negative for me. The paint and decal quality of the little model ships is rather poor.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘
P͟o͟s͟i͟t͟i͟v͟e͟s͟: The art and graphics is beautiful and very well done, sound design is also good. The art and design department seem to be the only ones that did their job or know what Homeworld is.

N͟e͟g͟a͟t͟i͟v͟e͟s͟: The story and narrative is VERY DISAPPOINTING. The 3D cutscenes are very silly and the characters are insufferable. It's like watching a Disney animation movie. The focus on individual characters doesn't work or feel right. It's as if the plot was written by someone that has never played a Homeworld game. There is no language on Earth that can convey how disappointed I am with this game, words are literally failing me...

Very satisfied with the collector edition, with good quality models. After replaying Desert of Kharak, Homeworld remastered 1 & 2, I actually enjoy playing this new entry in the franchise.
