Don’t go for Apple Watch 4/5.(This is not a spam.)Pros:1. Best fitness tracker for the buck. Never go for Fitbit; Have purchased twice and regret is all I got.2. Apple App Store fully supported.3. Always on display is not essential.A single flick of wrist shows you everything on display.4. ECG is a good feature but truly it’s a single lead ECG and almost all of us fall in the age group who wouldn’t require it.5. All watch bands are supported.6. Buy only GPS if your budget is less than 20k.7. Cellular Version: Gives you 16 GB.I am a Doctor and with that a PG resident. iPhone distracts me often but I can’t leave it behind as I have to receive calls for emergency cases. This watch is a smart phone in itself. And carrying it is enough. You can attend calls, reply, use smart timer, follow a schedule. Can study in LIBRARY for 15 hours without disturbance but not missing important calls.8. You will spend atleast spend ₹1000 on apps and a bit more on straps.9. Future Apple Watch will be significantly betterAnd till then it’s a great investment for your health.10. Battery : Easily lasts 2 days with GPS and 1.5 days with cellular11. Apple ecosystem is addicting: it can unlock your MacBook.iPhone can unlock your Apple WatchCons:1. No sleep tracking but ₹250 AutoSleep app does the job.2. Repair is expensive3. Whatsapp support is dearly missed.

This is my first smartwatch. It is an impressive device. Great screen, rich OS, premium build and average strap. It goes ahead of normal fitness trackers and provides you 3 activity rings to close daily: Move (calories), Exercise (brisk walk or higher) and Stand (at least one minute every hour). These metrics are more meaningful than step counts or kms.

Sleep tracking is very accurate. Just set up your sleep schedule and the watch will track your sleep during those hours. No way to track naps yet. Heart rate data is pretty accurate too.

You can get all your iPhone notifications (ALL) on the watch, including calls. You can reject, accept and even start calls from watch, which has a tiny speaker. You can even reply to whatsapp or texts using the drawing to form letters feature.

Bluetooth needs to be on and connected to your iPhone for notifications. Ironically, turning Bluetooth off loses you MORE battery than keeping it on. Make sure to turn wifi off as it consumes much more battery while on. Turn it off in settings, not from shortcut panel or else it will keep turning on.

My battery reached 15-20% with 48 hours usage: Bluetooth on, notifications checking, no music playing on watch, no workouts, no calls. Charging takes about 2 hours 15 mins from 20%.

The watch has many homescreen wallpapers, including some that are live and animated, like Micky Mouse and Toy Story.

You will get a large and a small size strap in the box, a charging cable, no adapter.

All of these features are very cool and will no doubt make you look good in front of friends and family. It was worth buying watch 3 over SE for me as I did not need ECG and hand washing features.

After buying, my thought about the watch is still the same. I did not really need it back then and even now. Because the watch takes up too much of your attention in terms of statistics and keeping the screen safe. I just wanted it for the experience of what it feels like. But there is no must-have feature. If that happens in future, then I will upgrade. Or else this will be my one and only watch purchase.

So this is my first Apple Watch. Running with my brand new IPhone 11 and brand new AirPods 2.
    1. It is slow. Faster than series 1 and 2 but a lot slower than 4 and 5.
    2. My watch came battery dead. So I had to charge it for 30min. Then the watch os 6.0.1 took 80min to download and another 40min to install. Then syncing took another 40min.
    3. It works perfectly within this Apple ecosystem. Connectivity is superb. It plays to my AirPods and on my phone from my watch, as you would expect. You can also seamlessly add music from phone to the watch.
    4. Siri speaks back but if you’re used to using Siri on the iPhone, it will feel slow.
    5. Touch and feedbacks are nice.
    6. I did take a lot of phone calls and the Bluetooth never dropped. I guess 4.2 is not all that bad.
    7. Most importantly, I got this for 21k. It’s more like I saved 25k for not buying the Apple Watch 5. If you are an Apple Watch virgin like me, then this will do well. If you already have one, buy the 5 hands down!

Series 3 is where the fun is, and delivery of promises and expectations that come with a smart watch. I will not write the tech specs, you can find it anywhere. Let me tell you the experience:

    1. Battery life: 2 days! And this with all of the ‘power hungry’ features like heartbeat enabled 24x7, which constantly measures every few minutes.

    2. Form factor: This device is a pleasure to behold. Every minute detail is taken care of, from the colour, beautiful rounded edges to the clarity of that screen which is equally legible in sunlight as inside the room. This is really like a work of art.

    3. Perfect coupling with your iPhone, the health app on the ios has a lot more data which helps you get a lot more detail, especially if you are a fitness freak.

    4. Screens: this has a trifle to be desired. The screens defined by Apple and the possible customisations are not bad, but you cannot design a screen from a scratch. But is it liveable? Absolutely!

So, verdict? Well, go for it with eyes closed!

Well if you are buying this 2017 watch in 2020 then you know how well it’s built. It is still loved by many people.
Built quality is pretty good. I would rate the watch based on the 4 days of usage.

Size- I was bit confused whether to go with 38mm or 42 mm. My wrist is small so I went ahead with 38mm which looks pretty decent and not like a brick on my wrist 😁. Watch youtube videos if you are finding it hard to decide on size.

    Display 4/5
    Touch 4/5
    Buttons 5/5
    Strap 4/5
Charging time 3/5 - It takes more than 2 hours to charge from 0 to 100.
Battery 3/5- Battery can last for 24 hours for moderate use.
    Notifications 5/5
Sleep monitor, Heart Rate, Pedometer- 4/5

Overall it’s a good watch if you don’t want to spend more than 40k on series 5.
