Versatile summer weight cardigan
This rose red cardigan is a fun pop of color and just the right weight. The hemline has a cute little detail of scallops along the edge, and the seaming lays flat. It is true to size, with fit as expected given the measurements provided in the item listing. The length is ideal, and the ribbing at the bottom does a nice job of highlighting the waist area without being overly clingy or drawing attention to hips. The fabric isn’t super fragile, but it will snag and pill, so be aware of this possibility.I tried it with several different types of tops and found it looked good with everything from a crew neck tee to a dressier v neck blouse to a sporty polo neck top. I like it enough that I am going back to get one of these in white as well.Cons:- the button holes look quite sloppy, just cut through the fabric versus a knitted in finished openingNote:- There is a stiff scratchy care and fabric type tag stitched to the side seam. Fortunately the stitching on this can just be unpicked and easily removed without harming the side seam.
