I have 3 aging dogs who now have meds to take, and splitting pills was getting to be a real chore. One of the pills is kind of football shaped, convex (curved out) on the top and bottom, hard as a rock and needs to be split into 1/4. I couldn't find anything that was cutting it even close to even pieces, so I resorted to using a razor blade, but that pill is so hard that I was tearing up my finger tips at the same time, and at least one of the pieces would go flying off somewhere. This pill cutter is the solution! Another one of the pills I have to cut is a tiny oval shaped pill, and this pill cutter will cut two of them in 1/2 at the same time! This one is definitely a winner for my needs!
