Primarily I use an oh-snap as my day-to-day grip/stand. Or I did anyway. Once I got Aulumu’s Line of cases and their wallet, I had to get this. The magnets are super strong so no concern there, as a kickstand it’s got far more versatility than the oh-snap, And the little box cutter built-in is a cute little gimmick that from time to time is useful - definitely not a reason to buy it, but a neat little extra. If I lost or broke this today I’d buy another one tomorrowEdit 2: after an unacceptably short period of time consisting of general, light use, The ratcheting mechanism became so loose because the center arm loosened at the point it attaches to the center of the grip that it would no longer hold in place at all. I posted a video of this. Later, in desperation since it was of course just passed return period, I wrapped it in a microfiber magnet side up and gave it a few good taps with a hammer. This seems to have tightened it back up.See video above as well as photos and it should be clear. And once a couple of good wax with the hammer we’re taken to it that gap is nice and tight again.

I am not the one to write reviews, but this grip is unbelievable. It's so well thought out, made of out of very good metal, with the case from Aulumu holds incredible. I love the sounds and the feeling that it makes when you fidget with it, and the ways it can help the phone stand is a lot.
Since I got it, i feel like a small boy again, can't help myself and my wife is already a bit upset that I got it, because I became a bit annoying showing off it at any given moment I have.

This review is after two months of usage.

The kickstand has gotten loose and will rattle and wobble when just in the pocket slightly.
The ratcheting mechanism is damp and not a clear tick but it was still satisfying, until the stand got loose and the spinning connection in the center now wobbles, causing the ratcheting mechanism to float at times and not make the click sound.

It has minor scratches on the housing, but the coloring is wearing off.

The razor is useful but the blade has small chips in it now. I've only cut tape and some cardboard packages that come in the mail a few times.

Overall, it feels great when new, but it does seem to stay great over the long run. Maybe I'm just rougher on my phone than others, but I work an office job and rarely abuse my devices.

The stand in itself does what it needs to for standing up your phone but it moves around way too much when it’s in your hand or pocket. Less then 4 months and the stand has worn out to the point where the slightest touch moves it. Magnet works but is pretty weak. Doesn’t take much force to separate the stand from the phone. I gave this a 1 star because the cost to the amount of time it took to wear this stand down isn’t worth it.

Bought three months ago at the time of writing.

Pros: Low profile, fits in my pocket nicely with little to no added bulge. I massively prefer having a kickstand over a pop socket. Being able to prop my phone upright in addition to on its side is super nice. Box cutter is a nice touch I find myself using more often than I originally imagined.

Cons: It’s not as nice to hold as a pop socket, and definitely isn’t as maneuverable as one. Over the months, the kickstand hinge has become loose. When oriented pointing up and extended, it doesn’t support the weight of a base model iPhone 12. The ratcheting mechanism never had the same tactility as I had seen in video reviews, and has become even mushier over time. The paint scratches fairly easily and mine looks well worn after only three months of use.

Its usefulness outweighs its flaws for me, but I won’t be getting a new when mine inevitably breaks. Materials are nice and sturdy, but build quality is lacking a bit, especially after extended use.

Purchased this because I’m a fan of their phone cases and wanted to get a MagSafe accessory for it.
First impression upon its arrival was the material, magnet strength, and latch for the kickstand was very tactile and sturdy.

However, after a week of use, the latch for the kickstand no longer stays in place. It moves freely around depending on how the phone is oriented. Whenever the kickstand is extended, I can’t lay the phone upright because the stand instantly fails, causing the phone to fall and lay flat on the surface. A little over a week now and the stand now has no tactile feedback whenever it moves around.
I don’t know. Maybe I got a faulty one, but I’m just writing this based off my experience with the initial item. Not sure about warranty for this but as of right now, I can honestly say unless you’re wanting this for the visuals and not the functional aspect to it, I’d stay away from it.

It's the kind of device that you don't think you'll need or like but once you start using it you'll wonder how you managed without it! ;)

The kickstand function with strong Magsafe magnets is great and allows you to position your phone in portrait or landscape positions for media consumption etc.

The little pop out ceramic knife is really handy too - especially if like me - you send and receive lots of packages and is really convenient to cut tape and open up boxes etc.
