    As of this review, this phone is sold out, so I can't do an honest review based on price. So I will tell you how much this phone should be priced for a five-star review. I am also taking into consideration the generic brand, since brand reputation and support are a big supporting factor in quality assurance.

    The one main thing that makes this phone really stand out is the 12,000mAh battery, which for me lasted more than three days with with light use, and almost two full days with heavy use. For me, heavy use is around 8-10 hours of full on screen time, and not like just checking emails throughout the day. I was using YouTube, Netflix, browsing the net, shopping apps, news aggregates, Twitter, Spotify.

    Using YouTube Netflix, and Spotify are awesome with the loudspeaker. It's got an oomph I haven't seen in other phones. It doesn't have the tonal fidelity as high-end phones, but it can sure get loud. The screen is decent. It's an LCD type, so it's nothing special, but indoors it's more than decent enough. The same goes for the camera - in bright rooms and outdoors, the photos come out very clear and contrasty. Finally, I really dig its ruggedness, and its rugged looks. It looks like a gaming phone, with angular edges, and a built-in case that has science fiction vibes. Black and silver isn't my style, I would have went with red and black, but overall it looks good.

    With all the specs and features, this is a great phone, but I find the CPU a bit lagging, and the RAM is actually 8GB, not 15GB - the extra 7GB is just virtual pseudo RAM. The screen and camera are decent, but not great. I would categorize this phone as mid-tier - above budget phones, and with its amazing battery life and rugged build, I think this is a five-star phone if the price is under $400, preferably right around $300.

    I've been looking for a smartphone that I can take traveling with me while vacationing in Europe. I will be camping for some of the time and wanted a robust device that will function well as a phone but also have features that will come in handy for being outdoors.

    I must admit I have never heard of Fossibot, and what a strange name but maybe it means something to somebody! When this arrived the box looked a little on the cheap side but kinda what I was expecting. Upon opening I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and heft of this phone. It really is a bit of a beast.

    From a design point of view, it's not the neatest device. It's very functional looking in design versus style. That's okay though as I already have another daily driver and this is purely for travel. Firstly, to note this is a 4G LTE device. It does not have 5G. If that's a deal breaker this ain't for you. Secondly, this thing is less than $260!! It's a bargain for what you get.

    The screen is full hd and the 6.58" screen is pretty decent. It's bright enough at 450 nits and sharp enough at 1080p. The viewing angles aren't the strongest point and I have to position it straight on for the best perspective.

    It runs on Android 14 which is a plus as it's the very latest version. Everything moves pretty smoothly thanks to the Mediatek processor. It has 15gb ram but I have to say it can be a tiny bit sluggish once you have several apps running in the background. It's far from terrible though. It has 256gb internal storage but can take a 1tb micro sd card. I do not have one to try out but imagine it works just fine.

    One of the drawbacks on this for me is the camera quality. While on paper it looks good, the actual images aren't that great. It supposedly has a 48mp AI camera but I don't find the images anything to shout about. They look like they come from a mid ranger from 2020 in my opinion.

    There are some additional features that are major plus points for me. There is a loud speaker, just one so not stereo but I find it to be pretty substantial. There is also a strong flashlight with 512 lumens. That's pretty bright and also very useful at night.

    The biggest selling point is the battery, it's huge! It packs a 12000mAh battery and features 30W fast charging via USB C. I have gotten a full 3 days with a lot of use before needing to charge. The fast charging means it gets to 100% in around 1 hour and 30 mins. That's pretty impressive.

    Given the price tag, this is a steal and ideal for campers or outdoor workers.

    As the title states, It does not work with Verizon despite the product description. The Infrared Camera is really cool and its a feature not found in American phones. As far as battery claims, the OS was modified to heavily favor battery saving mode. They even included their own battery optimizer / app killer to maximize battery life. I did not break open the phone to confirm, but i would expect that battery life is dependent on software optimization and not a large hardware battery.

    I originally bought a Cubot King Kong Star but I had to return it because there was a fault with it and Cubot customer service were terrible.

    Positives are: Obviously cost. Feels rugged and battery life is good. Over a day I use about 20%. The Android interface is pretty obvious. But seems to either run off the apps or accessed via a background section set up in parallel. Bit strange. Transfer of data was quite slow from a modern Samsung via cable. Frustrating was the file I have with passwords ect was not fully transferred so needed to update manually. The light is exceptional and for outdoor purposes ample.

    Some downsides. The processor is slower than I'm used to. I'd say forget gaming. Not that I've tried. The start up from off is slow at times and will only get worse. Pity the storage is not larger... But the cost is a factor then. I experienced some issues in the 1st week. Phone appeared to shut off and try to reboot mid use. I wondered if these were updates? No notification of such though. I run a VPN through this phone and at one point it seemed to turn my WIFI off and chew through my data. But that could be a settings issue? If you are used to a certain OS from a phone you generally buy, this may take a few days to get used to. Usual Android gripes... Can't remove some firmware embedded in phone. So need to put them to sleep. But... On the whole ...is it worth it? At this stage I'd say yes. The phone is twice as thick as standard phones it's not slimline. You may find it won't fit any holders you posses! Pity it does not come with a lanyard as it has a lug for one. A fold out ring would be handy too for resting at 45 Deg. There are no aftermarket items for this phone.
