Not gonna test it by dropping my phone off the side of a building on purpose, but it seems like it will do a decent job on small drops. I love the colors of my pink and purple case. It fits nicely around the camara bar, which sticks out a lot on the Pixel 8. I think the lips around the camara bar and screens will do a good job protecting the phone from scratches when sitting on a surface. The case fits very tightly. I hurt my fingers trying to remove it for the first time. It is 2 parts a rubbery inside and a hard plastic cover. The last crave case that I had for my previous pixel was one piece with the hard plastic and rubbery part connected. I think I liked that better, it was easier to take on and off. But I don't need to take the case on and off very often so this doesn't matter much to me. It seems solid. I don't yet know how it will hold up. I have only been using it for a week. Previous cases from this company have worked well for me in the past and held up until I switch phones every few years.

I like these two-part cases because they generally fit snugly but are still easy to remove -- usually you can just pop off the hard outer cover and then the soft silicone inner comes off easily. However, this cover was extremely difficult to remove -- as I discovered when I decided to return the Pixel 8 because it was so buggy and frustrating. If you're lucky enough not to have problems with the phone, this is a great case for it. Seems to protect well. Only downside is the the texture was more slippery than I expected.
