Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsAfter a bit of use, some flaws, but overall great headphones

These headphones are great. They do a great job of noise cancelling, the sound quality is very nice, but there are a few issues. The app that controls it is not so intuitive, and there are some options that should be changed. I wish that the "CUSTOM" button on the headphones (one of two physical buttons) could have an option to switch between noise cancelling levels, but strangely it is only able to be used for a couple of things that I hardly use, including optimizing for atmospheric pressure (it seems that I'm at 1.0 atm basically everywhere, so this does practically nothing). Secondly, after about 8 months or so of regular use, I noticed a rattling noise in the right ear cup. I complained about this to Sony, who told me that this was not covered under warranty, and that I would ONLY be able to get this fixed at one location in New York, who effectively told me that it would cost $120 or so to get the headphones fixed, which is about half the cost of what I paid for them in the first place. The rattling sound went away, but it could be that some piece just fell out entirely. Nonetheless, when these run their course, I likely will be turning to a more customer-friendly company that has better service with defects. I found that the defect of rattling is a common problem according to some forums, and I was surprised to know that this was not going to be covered. Not a good look, Sony.
