Im not one to complain I’ve been long time shopper on Amazon so this is my first complaint ever, but I was super excited for the Rog 8 phone as I’m a big time mobile gamer but I am disappointed that the triggers are acting up , I’ve had rog 3 , rog 5s and even the 6s , I thought I was up grading but turns out the product I received is either bugged or is malfunctioning as soon as I got it out of the box , I paid alot for this and I’m just completely unsatisfied idk what I should do really so be aware everyone sometimes you get goods and sometimes it’s bad

Overall the phone has been good and works as delivered, however, gets a lower rating because the listing is incorrectly saying this is a US version but it is not. The phone they delivered is the international version. There are some minor difference and each person needs to ensure the cell bands available on the phone work with your carrier.

I was able to connect the international phone to T-Mobile's network and get 5g connections here in the US.

Some other nuances of the international version is the charging pack is different, but they did include a US adapter in the box. In addition the default language on the phone is not English. But the latter is changed with the click of a button.

The biggest annoyance with this phone from the previous ROG phones is that in the attempt to become a flagship phone it is not really as usable as a gaming phone anymore. All of the market controllers will not fit it, or its incredibly off center from the USB port not being center and the camera bump being too large. You either have to sacrifice the ability to use the cooler or use a clunky controller that isn't as portable as a switch-type setup. Also, with all the access ports on the side, sound will be muffled and the headphone port will not be accessible. There was talk about the ROG tessen releasing alongside it, but it hasn't been available and even so it doesn't quite fit.

Things to fix it would be an "adaptor" that makes the USB centered for switch-like setups or bring back the Kunai with a case that works.

But as it stands, you're better off getting the Rog 7 if you can find it.

4/1 Update: Well two weeks after receiving it the air triggers are not working and sometimes work and sometimes dont. I didn't have this issue on my previous ROG

It is plug and play for T-Mobile, just works right off the bar. Also works on AT&T but have to enable VOLTE via a dial #. Might need to contact AT&T to know what # to dial on the phone number pad. The phone is a great piece of kit. I also have the Asus RoG 7. Some have doubted that the 8 Pro is downgrade but I agree and disagree at the same time. A smaller battery, front speakers are now top firing and a camera punch hole on the screen are the only negatives I found. The positives on the 8 Pro are noticeable to me. Better and brighter AMOLED screen, speakers slightly louder, Dirac is tuned better, wireless charging, way better camera now and now an easier grip to one hand usage.
