Customer Review

Being someone who has never owned an iPhone and didn't want to splurge on a brand-new one, I decided to explore refurbished options. I came across one that boasted excellent condition and claimed to be thoroughly renovated. Upon arrival, it looked pristine, and everything seemed to be in good shape. However, as I tested out its various features, I quickly discovered a significant issue with the primary microphone for calls and voice messages. The volume was incredibly low and muffled and sometimes there was no sound at all, as if it were dirty or had a technical malfunction.

I went to an Apple store, seeking assistance but the cost was a hefty amount, with an estimate of around $60 just for an evaluation, and potentially another $100 for repairs. Frustrated by the situation, I chose to return the device. Fortunately, the sellers accepted the return and promptly refunded my money.

Nonetheless, it was disappointing to have wasted time on the selection process, especially when I was traveling and couldn't afford to wait for a replacement. As a result, I continue to rely on my trusty Android Samsung phone, which has consistently delivered exceptional performance across all the second-hand devices I've owned.

Just to mention something positive; one feature that I really liked about this phone is the option where you can double or triple tap the back to perform various actions, such as turning on the flashlight or opening an app. I find this feature very useful.

On the other hand, one thing I dislike about the entire iOS ecosystem is the inability to have cloned applications. In case I need to have two or three instances of WhatsApp or Telegram for work and personal use, it's quite limiting. This is just one among many other things that I don't like. While iPhones have their strengths, I believe that ecosystem is not for me. Nowadays, with many Android phones offering great cameras and other features, there are very few reasons for me to want an iPhone, as the brand or look doesn't interest me at all.

Having said that, I am grateful to the seller for promptly addressing my request and issuing a refund as soon as they received the phone back. Their responsiveness and willingness to resolve the issue are commendable.
