Customer Review

I upgraded from a 1080p 60Hz IPS display, so going to a 1440p 240hz OLED (Model G27P6) was obviously going to be a massive difference but I was astounded at how amazing the difference actually was. True blacks, amazingly smooth due to the refresh rate. This monitor is all around solid and I don't regret my purchase at all. There are only a few gripes.

1. Grey uniformity.

This is a known issue on WOLED displays based on my research. On grey screens or near blacks the color isn't perfectly uniform. This is only ever noticeable on large blank sections of dark mode applications, and if you are really looking for it. This is the only real flaw of WOLED, you make up for in (in my opinion) better text clarity. QD-OLED has color fringing on the text that I personally am a lot more affected by than the non-uniform grey, and WOLED handles ambient light better.

4. Horizontal banding.

This is the only issue i had on this monitor and it manifested as horizontal lines on the display, I ran the pixel cleaner in the HUD and it went away mostly, and entirely disappeared after having the display on for a few more hours. It makes me question the potential longevity of the panel but as of now the issue has completely gone away and it looks literally perfect. I'm glad I upgraded to this monitor.

For a purely multi-media display like a living room TV QDOLED and it's color is a better choice but WOLED is a better technology for desktop use in my opinion, and this model specifically is the best value right now.
