Let me start by saying, with all of its shortcomings I'm about to say, I am comparing this to the Iphone SE from 2016. This phone is relevant and in many ways better than Iphone SE, but loses in some areas.

The camera vs. Iphone SE, if you have light, and time to focus, sure it rivals the Iphone SE. Iphone SE however does great in most situations and can capture motion, Iphone SE is just a better camera, thats all there is to it. I'd say the photos can lose up seventy percent of its focus even on paper text sheets if you do not focus correctly on the paperwork! That said, it seems to function ok with sunlight.

This leads to the second thing that makes Iphone SE superior, the screen itself. We should curb expectations and remember this is a 150$ phone, so there are going to be shortcuts. So the screen is quite crisp and response, and it can even play mild games like League of Legends WildRift at acceptable quality. It just falls so hard and fails so bad in sunlight! The screen simply cannot get bright enough in direct sunlight. This really kills the ability to read unless you can find some shade. This just sucks.

The amazing part is battery life, Its been 5 months now, and its solid, like heavy and long lasting. The phone truly can sit idle for days. Can be used for an alittle bit each day and be charged in 4-5 days. If your face is glued to the phone, then go seek help!

That leads to the other problem with the phone, IT really is too heavy. The phone is definitely more durable to abuse then iphone SE, but the weight of the phone itself means that this point is null, one bad angle drop on an edge and its all over. Mine is cracked after a three foot drop. Still seems to be fairly water proof with crack somehow, but now I cannot say in good faith its still a good idea to push this phones limit.

Loading apps on this quad core is not always faster than the Iphone SE, but its certainly more reliable, does not crash often, does not overheat in sunlight due to its natural thermal mass. It vs iphone SE hands down has supieror signal strength, getting coverage where Iphone SE thinks is a deadspot. This phone at the end of the day, is a fantastic phone, and appears to be better at the primary task at hand.

I think this would be a great phone for a young adult with tight budget, or for older people who just needs primary task of being a phone as clear objective without garbage loaded up on the phone. I am happy to use this phone for another year or two and believe this is a good deal.

That said, durability and camera quality may be misleading. And as someone coming from a company that lied and nerfed their batteries life for their iphones, even with this supposed slow charger, this is a huge step up from dedicated charging lifestyle at every potential part of the day.
