You don't know until you buy this that your FAA ID has to be verified prior to EACH liftoff. This means that you have to have your phone connected to the goggles, WITH A NETWORK CONNECTION, before you can fly the drone. If you're in your front yard, now you need your phone WIRED to the goggles to fly. BTW, this also drains the goggles' battery, because it's charging your phone now.

If you're in nature, without a network connection, you're hosed. No fly. None. No drone flight. Period. If you can't wire your phone to the goggles AND get a network connection to your phone (you know, like everywhere worth photographing) then you're not allowed to take off.

This is NOT acceptable. I'll be returning mine, which is too bad, because it's a nice unit that flies well.
