I'm taking a chance with this A15 phone after having a good experience with this brands kid tablet. This is a budget device but it looks at least 3 times as expensive due to the premium looking materials used on the outside. You get a budget tier processor but it has ample true physical RAM at 8GB, expandable to 16GB using virtual swapping , but 8GB is quite ample and NOT budget tier, it's the same you get with the current Pixel 7.

It came with a pre-installed tempered glass protector that I'd never be able to install perfectly myself so I'm glad they did it for me. It even came with a dark smoked TPU case which is a real bonus. USB-C to USB-C Charging cable and full power 20Watt (for this phone) brick. Modern equipment here.

Everything works quick for normal usage tasks, like browsing the web, keeping up with your stocks, your social media, and all your messaging tasks. It doesn't skip a beat switching between apps due to the ample RAM.

The default launcher it comes with is a bit limiting, like someone said they could only put 5 icons across. But I switched to another launcher and I'm able to place 6 across or more if I'd like, it's a limitation of the stock launcher. The screen is a 720P LCD.

IMO, even todays budget spec processors are capable to handle basic browsing tasks with ease. If you actually do video editing or play graphics intensive games, then sure, you could benefit from spending more, but as a mature adult this does what I need quite efficiently.

It even has the programmable button that the top tier maker is now promoting. Single, double, and long presses can be programmed to do what you want it to do. I wish ALL Androids have this built in.

Battery at 5000mah is above average and can last me more than 3 days of normal usage.

If there was a downside it would be the low light photography but it's still workable and daytime pics are crisp and clear. You get panorama, time lapse and slow mo video too.
