I recently purchased the Spigen Liquid Air Armor mobile phone case for my new Pixel 8 Pro, and while it has some appealing features, it unfortunately falls short in one critical area: grip.

The design of the case is sleek and modern, with a minimalist aesthetic that complements the look of my phone perfectly. It’s slim, lightweight, and doesn't add unnecessary bulk, which is something I greatly appreciate.

The case appears to be made from durable materials that offer decent protection against minor drops and scratches. The edges are reinforced, and the fit is snug, ensuring that my phone stays securely inside the case.

All the cutouts for the buttons, ports, and especially for the camera are precise, allowing for easy access and use without removing the case. The case does not interfere with the functionality of my phone, which is a plus.

However, the major downside of this case is its slipperiness. The material, while smooth and attractive, offers very little grip unlike the Zagg Denali case for my Pixel 7. This has resulted in several near-miss incidents where my phone almost slipped out of my hand. The lack of texture or any form of grip on the back and sides makes it difficult to hold securely, especially with one hand. This issue is exacerbated when my hands are slightly wet or sweaty, making the phone even more prone to slipping.

While this mobile phone case excels in design, durability, and functionality, its slippery nature is a significant drawback. If you prioritize aesthetics and protection and don't mind being extra cautious while handling your phone, this case might work for you. However, if grip and secure handling are important to you, I would recommend looking for an alternative case with a better grip.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars.
