I had my suspicions when installing the filter that it wouldn't seal, as there appeared to be no tension against the housing when it was installed. After several days of use, I started noticing heavy dust marks on the OUTPUT of the fan and removed the filter to check. Sure enough, dust along the sealing surface, indicating that it was leaking through without being filtered. I cut a spacer gasket from foam and reinstalled. I'm sure it will seal fine now, but don't like that it didn't work out of the box.
Sleep and medium settings are nice and quiet. High setting is pretty loud but does circulate a large amount of air for it's size. The performance on medium has me wishing there was a slightly higher setting between medium and high, but that was when the filter was leaking. I'll run it for a few days with the new filter spacer on medium and see how it compares.
