I searched for a 'tempered glass screen protector,' and Amazon showed me this product among others. I'm not sure I remember exactly why I selected this one, but since Amazon included it among 'tempered glass screen protectors,' and it included what looked like a handy installation caddy, I went ahead and bought it. (I have found that screen protectors are easier to install when the manufacturer includes some type of plastic caddy or guide.) Anyway, it arrived and the box plainly says that it is a "tempered glass screen protector," as you can see in the picture I have attached. THIS IS NOT TEMPERED GLASS. It is a very thin film of some type, and although it does have some rigidity to it, if it is glass it is of a variety I have never seen before. It did install easily and the installation video from the manufacturer is accurate and works just fine. My biggest complaint is that it uses a dip in the design to accommodate the front camera hole, as opposed to a simple hole punch in the plastic material. Even that wouldn't bother me much if it weren't that the design includes a weird, dark edge all the way around the plastic that now drastically highlights the front camera hole on my phone with this weird teardrop-shaped dip. I'm sorry that I can't attach a picture of that. Verdict? I cannot recommend this screen protector. It might do the job that it says it will do, but it looks ugly and it sure as heck is not glass!
