Bought a couple of these.
We use them on top of a 4" stock spring mattresses that came with our sleeper sofas.
Once on top, it does require a little persuasion folding the bed because of the added material, (it's effectively now a 7" mattress with the added 3" from the topper), but nothing too dramatic that we feel compromises the folding mechanism.
What you do get for this topper (and a little extra effort if it's a folding bed) is a PERFECT night sleep.
Free from the inconvenience of moving the toppers to storage every time you have guests for a night. These things are super comfortable and premium quality and will upgrade any mattress. Sleeper sofa beds tend to be a lot on your back after more than 2-3 nights. This transforms ours into luxury 5-star hotel beds. And we still get to keep the room when the guests are gone. We are sure they are great for regular (non-folding) mattresses too. If you have a sleeper sofa situation this could be the best of both worlds.
