** Update 3/8/24**
Well it was too good to be true. I found out after several phone calls using the speaker phone that others are having a hard time hearing me and sure enough I tested and my words are getting cut off/choppy when using the speaker phone. If I use a Bluetooth device it doesn’t happen. Apparently not something Amazon checks or can check since there’s no real way to test it without service. That really sucks. I used the speaker phone a lot.

I was hesitant on buying a refurbished unit, but given the price of a new one, there’s no way I would spend that much on a phone. Sadly, Apple products have gotten to the point where you have to buy them used or rent them to afford them. It’s ridiculous. Especially when they don’t have 1/100 the cost in what they sell them for.

Anyway, the phone arrived in pristine condition. I’m very meticulous about looking over refurb items and I couldn’t find anything physically wrong with the unit. Battery life arrive at 93% of capacity. Not bad. After using a while now, the only thing I’ve had issue with is the Speaker phone. I’ve had callers tell me I’m “breaking up” which is frustrating because I use speaker a lot and it’s likely one of the several functions that cannot be test on a recertified unit. While I have a year to return no questions asked, I’ve already spent money on screen protectors, etc and happy with the physical quality of the phone. I don’t want to risk getting some that could be worse. I would definitely recommend purchasing an Amazon Certified product. I will definitely do again in the future.
