I bought this for a cross country flight to a work conference. I needed something super comfy for the plane and also an outfit that I could show up at the hotel in (you always see folks while checking in and I didn't want to be in sweats). The fabric was medium weight and draped nicely, should be warm enough for inside the airplane. I chose black because I was traveling. It doesn't have belt loops but I added a belt and did a french tuck. I did find the pants remined me a bit of "I dream of Genie", not my favorite look (but comfort won out). I'm 5'5", 160lbs and I purchased the large. I think a medium would have been OK but not sure if the pants would be too short.
