I ordered the kickstand version of this product first to keep next to my bed to charge my phone at night. It worked great for what it was. I left for work the next day leaving the kickstand face down on my nightstand not really thinking anything of it. I rarely take a lunch break at work I usually just go grab a snack or something to tide me over until I get off work, but the day, I decided to leave early. I got home and there was a strange odor coming from my bedroom. I went in and notice it was coming from my bed. I looked around for a bit and when to touch the kickstand charger and it was extremely hot. I'm glad I decided to leave early that day. Now this isn't entirely the companies fault I left the device face down, which probably wasn't too smart on my end it has a kickstand for a reason. Since that day I haven't had an issue with it.
Now I just ordered two 2-packs of magsafe chargers, I tested one of them out tonight, again it got extremely hot charging my phone after just a very short while. I'm thinking maybe I should've gotten the kickstand ones instead, but the price was a little too expensive for what I needed.
All in all and despite what you may feel you get from my comment, I do think you'd company makes a solid well designed product, they just need to find a way to dissipate the heat from their devices a little better.
