When you think approx. $20 Asurion Accident Protection Coverage is not worth it, think again! Just a few months ago, I purchased it when I purchased my son’s Turtle Beach Headphones that were $119. He’s 17 so accidents happen. The coverage was well worth it and, best of all, Asurion’s Customer Service was top notch and effortless. I contacted them re. the broken headphones on March 16th and provided my Amazon Order # for both the coverage & the headphones. I was immediately sent an email with instructions on how to package them up to be returned, was provided a day & time window that UPS would be picking the package up. I received a full refund by way of an Amazon gift card on March 21st. Yes; you read that correctly! It only took five days for me to file the claim, package up the headphones, UPS pick up the package, then receive an email with the Amazon Gift Card. Yes, essentially I paid $119 + $20 coverage($139 total for the headphones & received $119 back. And, that’s just it! I didn’t have to lose $119….. like I did last year when he dropped the first set of headphones I purchased and I chose not to purchase the coverage. Won’t make that mistake again when purchasing any electronic-related product on Amazon that’s > $100! Buy the coverage; you won’t regret it!

Because I did not check before purchasing a small appliance I did not realize that it came with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. I simply bought Asurion at the same time I purchased the appliance assuming I would need the coverage. The coverage would be useless because it begins from the date of a purchase and would expire at the end of 2 years. That meant I paid for something I didn't need since the product already came with a 2-year warranty. It is not easy to obtain a refund for the Asurion purchase since Amazon does not do the refund itself you must email Asurion. That I believe is unfair business practice by Amazon as it should indicate that it is not refundable by Amazon itself.

Tried to use asurion warranty for a pair of 119.99 earbuds they immediately shifted blame and said use the manufacturers warranty instead of the extra I paid for so I want a refund on all of it. I returned earbuds and got less than I paid
