I don't often write reviews, but felt it necessary for this product. I've gone through a few stainless steel water bottles, coffee tumblers and the like in search of the right one.

This literally checks all the boxes without any real drawbacks:

It doesn't leak, even if you've got this swimming around the bottom of your backpack.

It keeps water cold, even if left in the sun on a hot day.

The flip top straw is convenient and reliable. The fact that you can also flip the pour spout if that's your style or if you want to pour put a share is even better.

The design that allows you to place this 40 oz container in most standard cup holders without having to buy an adapter is fantastic.... and it's still stable when standing on a table or the ground. The slimmer base also makes it easier to hold one handed compared to a lot of the 40 oz bottles on the market.

The handle is soooo sturdy AND comfortable to carrying distances despite toating around 40 oz of water. This is helped by how lightweight the container is when empty.

It's easy to clean given the wide mouth.

The clincher for me is that their customer service is also top notch. The hinge for the pour spout sheared off on one side. I reached out to their customer service, got prompt clear replies and a free replacement in the mail.

If I really try to find things I could take issue with, I'd say:
1. Physics dictates that 40 oz of water in a cylinder takes up a good bit of space. Some may find this bottle too big. It also won't fit in a lot of cup holders you'll find in car doors or air plane pockets attached to the seat in front of you. They do also sell smaller volumes if this is an issue. I just got the 30 oz one for my wife for this reason (and because the color she wanted wasn't available in 40 oz...).
2. There isn't a rubber "coaster" glued to the bottom of the container like some other bottles. I glued one on myself so it's "grippier" and quieter to set down on a hard table, but that's REALLY nitpicking.

Bottom line, this is THE bottle, and at the price, I can't think of a reason to spent more than double the amount for a Stanley, Hydroflask or other name brand alternatives.

Easy to carry with my hands full using the handle, which is otherwise out of the way--except that it makes the 'mug' easier to grip when it's down, my fingers go right below it and I don't have to grip as hard (which is nice because this 'mug' is on the huge side. That's really my only complaint. I would really prefer a 24 ounce one. But I've been looking for months. Needed a handle of some sort and was willing to settle for an ugly open at the bottom handle because my Stanley had one and I discovered you could hang it right on the fence when you were working! Alas, all good things come to an end and they don't make that one anymore. Enclosed handles cannot generally be hung on things, but this one can! and hangs on my finger when my hands are full! And doesn't leak (did I say that already??). ALSO, this one doesn't SLOSH like EVERY other giant mug I've had. I've thought that someone should put a baffle in the lid to keep the coffee from sloshing right out all down your shirt when the mug is more full or emptier than you thought and you tip it too fast. There's something a bit different about the shape of the lid--and no air hole--and it just works better. A slightly thinner lip would be my preference, but I know some folks want the top edge like a ceramic mug. I don't, but I won't downgrade this one for that; it's fine. ALSO MY STICKER STAYS STUCK! I didn't think it would hold a sticker, because it has a lovely texture, but it does! It does have to be a pretty small sticker (mine isn't) or it has to be on the front over the brand name. That's a plus, actually, because I really don't like how they put the brand name on it. On mine, I don't see it anymore! Love the color as well.

I like the size of this. Because of the size, it lasts all day and keeps my ice all day. I don't like the straw system it came with. I use my silicone straw through the drink opening but I would like it better if I could use my own straw through the straw hole on the top. It's seems foolish to me to put an opening for a straw and no way to insert a normal straw. Come on engineers.. Think about it...

I bought this to use as a work mug for my coffee. One of the most important things as I need to be able to put the mug in my backpack sideways and not have it we can get all over my computers and stuff. I bought a different mugs in this one and it didn’t have a screw on top. And I tried to take it to work and put it in sideways and the word shot off getting coffee all over the place. So I realize that having a screw on top was Vital. I like this one because it has the handle built-in, and a really well crafted way. So I did a hot water leak test where I boiled some water and filled the mug up. I remove the straw because I will not be needing the straw. I will never be using it for cold drinks . Will it pass the test with flying colors? No leaking at all. I’m glad because this is going to be my solution. I’ve only had the mug for a day or so but I really like it and recommend it to anyone that needs to get a mug for drinking to go to work . One of the things I was wondering about this would a leak if I took this dry out. The answer is no the straw didn’t affect it. You can always put the straw back in if you wanted to use it for cold drinks but I won’t be doing that. on top of all that the price is really reasonable on this. I like the color choices, and this mug stood out to me as a good choice out of all the mugs that I looked at that were similar.

I saw that in another review that opening the suction part was hard. You have to use the lid that closes it and push it outward to bring it up, check my video.

This is the perfect bottle! You can either use the suction tube or open and use it as a mug. Also the handle is the deal breaker. It perfectly alights with the bottle which makes it easy to hold and open the lid.

Cold water stays for over 6,7 hours.
