Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I insured a new Samsung Fold3 512gb. Not cheap and pretty fragile. Broke it a month later. I've learned several things.
One, 2 year protection is a bit of a farce. This is on me for not reading in depth enough but it protects against cracked screens on OTHER phones for two years. If literally anything happens to this phone then they run it as a replacement or buyout and call the contract fulfilled. My fault for buying a ridiculous phone but bad on them as I didn't see it readily advertised that the contract closes upon replacement anywhere in the primary advertising. I genuinely thought if they replace the unit that the contract would remain open. Again, probably a me problem but so much for "2 year protection."
Second, this claim was started Nov 6 or so. The day of this writing is Dec 29 and they, yet again, asked for another five business days to "process the claim". Every call is a different story with one common theme, more time.
Third and last, I've called in at least seven times now. I've talked to general representatives and I've talked to the "claims review team" twice. I've been told I'd be called back with an update almost every single time and, who'd have guessed, no one has ever called.
In summary, "No grief" as a marketing slogan has been completely inaccurate. I get it, they don't want to pay, but I didn't make them write the policy. I'm just the sucker who bought it thinking I was getting 2 years of protection for a fragile, expensive device. Seemed like a no brainer! Instead I've been out just under two thousand dollars for going on two months. On the upside, I learned a ton about device insurance policies and I'd literally never, ever have bought this policy if I knew then what I know now.
If you are considering this plan PLEASE carefully consider all options before purchasing this policy. I wouldn't wish my experience on anyone.
I purchased this insurance for my Samsung galaxy note 10 plus star wars special edition. Have not used this yet as of lately but my past experience with Asurion customer service and claim process has been quick, decisive, and pleasant.
Bought this for extra protection on Z Fold 3 purchase. Sounded like an amazing plan in the case something happened. Was not offered the replacement phone when phone went bad, was denied on claim because they say product # did not match claim, yet agents confirmed all #s...it was correct phone. Now since denial, it has been a week and they have still not sent phone back so I can refile a new claim. Plus i get to pay more $ just to get reimbursed cost paid for phone. it's been 5-6 weeks already and still without. Was not worth money spent. Basically 330 for nothing but frustration
The coverage should start when phone received and not date of order. Since it is a pre-release order, that means I lose at least one month of coverage. Definitely won't buy this again?
