Wasn't sure I wanted to try this but I'm giving it a go. I got this for my son who has a habit of dropping his phone. I figured because it's a brand new S24 ultra that it would be better then nothing. Hope i don't have to use it. I've worked with asurion before and they were awesome so here we go....

First, there was nothing "easy" about this process. After spending 45 minutes on chat (because for some reason it took 30 minutes to get the email to verify my account online) the chat window just disappeared!!! And because the claim was started, I was unable to do anything more with it online. So I started another chat. After 10 minutes going over the same stuff I went over with the first chat agent, the chat window disappeared again. Apparently, you can't navigate away from the page!!
Then I had to pay $159 for a "service" fee. But then they charged me tax on top of that!! My state doesn't have a service tax- so they charged me sales tax on a service!! THEN, I'm told- I NEED TO SEND MY PHONE BACK TO THEM BEFORE THEY WILL SEND ME A CHECK FOR WHAT I PAID!!! I NEED TO BUY A NEW PHONE MYSELF!! THEY DON'T SEND A NEW PHONE AND I RETURN THE OLD ONE LIKE EVERY OTHER WARRANTY COMPANY!!!
So, given that I can get better coverage for less from T-Mobile, that's where I'm going to buy my new phone. Sorry Amazon, but until you get a better warranty service, I will not be buying my phones from you in the future- even if it saves me a couple of hundred dollars.

I've not damaged my phone, but have called for tech support. I did not have to go through multiple computer hoops to get a live person. The call is immediately answered by a tech. I've called twice and the techs have been patient, friendly and knowledgeable.

A great service for a reasonable price....about $8 less/month than Verizon charges for this service on a much less expensive phone.

After paying $1300 for a phone in 2020 and the monthly asurion service ($9.99), my phone finally gave out so I submitted a claim. They issued and full refund and told me to drop it off. Upon dropping it off I was told that they rather try to fix it even though it would take 5 days to receive the special edition parts. Ultimately, I was issued a check after going 2 weeks without a phone. Their communication with the secondary company sucked but a nice lady at asurion eventually got it situated. Id hate to have to use them again.

Initially setting up the registration for your plan can be confusing. However, once past the nightmare of initial registration, Asurion is very efficient and effective as resolving your troubles.

I ordered it with the phone. I had to cancel the phone as it was delayed in transit for several days. Unfortunately, even if this plan is automatically activated with the shipping, it does not get cancelled with the order cancellation and neither the account nor the live amazon customer service could help me. Asurion customer service flatly denied any service blaming it on Amazon.
Too much trouble and waste of time. Complete non sense business.

DO NOT BUY ! DO NOT BUY ! Find another insurance policy that is less time consuming. I have been trying to file my claim for 3 weeks. Website does NOT work, you have to call in. They keep telling me to wait more days for a call back or email.

I bought two of these for the new Samsung Note 20 Ultra phones for my wife and I. Only one shows up in my subscriptions and Amazon won't let me activate and shows that I only have one.
