Yes, they are transparent about the charges to repair and replace your device. But they are not transparent about the headaches you will have to have either service from them. I purchased this with my Pixel 7 phone but should have gone with the $12 a month from ATT since they have no fees aand they send you a replacement before asking you to return your deivice. When my screen craked and I tried to submit a request for a replacement, none of the forms on their website worked properly (tried it on diferent browsers and laptops and still no luck). When I connected to their chat a customer rep "helped" me witht he process although I had to later still submitt another request since they want you to submit signed paperwork for the claim. After you finally get a claim/case number, you get an email telling you you have to take the device to one of their repair centers and leave it there before they give you a credit for the original purchase price of the phone. I drove about 30 minutes away to return the phone and the staff at the shop had no clue what I was talking about. They just wanted me to leave the phone for them to repair at a $120 charge. After contcting Asurion again they explained that I needed to tell the shop that they had to issue me a Buyback receipt so that a credit would be issued to me. They want to charge me $159 to have my phone replaced while they could have their store fix the screen for $120. No one ever explained that to me. I am cacelling the service and going to a local shop to have the screen fixed for cheaper than it would cost me with these people. Terrible service and value!
Extremely difficult to work with; they provide little or no means of contact -you have to hunt it down yourself. You get charged tax -on a service plan! You pay $50 for each service. They don't give you any options when you do finally get an agent to chat with. All very frustrating -definitely not worth the trouble.
This plan is the absolute worse. I would say, having no protection would be a better option. I was told that I would have to a pay $159 service fee before a service ticket could be created. Then, I would be responsible for the cost of the repair (my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, would not fully open), which was not covered under the protection plan. Waste of money for a useless plan.
So, I damaged my phone. Processed the return and I cannot locate the refund per my old phone to purchase the new phone. Please assist in helping me find my refund.
This product was sold with the phone in November but when the phone was returned and defunded after buying 1 day because the phone did not work, this product continues to charge my account till Dec for nothing! Crazy!
Dropped my device on 10/4/2021. Claims process has been impossible. Unable to start claim initially. Once started they do not send the claim number if you haven't written it down. Called 3 separate occasions for assistance with claims facilitation form and transferred 3 plus times for 35 minutes plus each phone call to be hung up on twice. Form they ask for is difficult to complete on mobile devices and asks for an enrolled account number even the representative couldn't give me. Bad customer service, hard to complete claims process. I will update on my pending resolution.
I'm not sure why Amazon partners with them, honestly. They give a bad name to purchasing products with Amazon.
Paid yearly which was not clearly stated. Protection plans are always pay once for a certain time period like major appliances. This is not a part of my cellular service. Customer service couldn't tell me what the charge was for until after they canceled it and spoke with someone else. So it was gone and no choice to decide if it was okay for yearly payments. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
