I ordered an Iphone on Amazon and insured through Asurion. The phone was a week late which was acknowledged by Amazon - however Amazon's message was that they don't know when it will be sent and will notify me of any changes, that I won't be charged, and that I can cancel if I wish.

There were other alternatives that would arrive within a day or two and so I decided to use those instead and cancelled my original order.

Asurion's web site says:

You may cancel your plan anytime (with a full refund if canceled within the first 30 days). After 30 days of coverage, you will receive a prorated refund.

How do I cancel, if needed?

Visit amazon.com/orders and search “Asurion.” Find the plan you wish to cancel. Within the first 30 days, click “Cancel Policy.” After 30 days, click “Contact Seller” and select “Return Product” as the subject.

There was no way to cancel / return the item. Now if I want the $5 refund I'll have to spend hours tracking down a live person or some other BS. Not happy

Took 5 days to get the claim processed. Denied the claim saying it is not covered. No explanation or reason. Very poor service. Waste of time.

I am prime member ,I Purchased 2 iPhone plus 2 Asurion plans , Amazon emailed me, said 1 of the 2 of iPhone will be deliver later than expected date, so I canceled the delay iPhone ,I tried to cancel both Asurion
Amazon order page didn't give the option to cancel, then Amazon said we can't cancel either contact the Asurion, so Asurion , I was polite , etc they hanged on me, called again gave me run around , Asurion is the most Horrible to deal with.

I talked for over 5 hours today, after a 3rd shift. After starting this claim yesterday. I took over 10 pictures. That they kept telling me wasn't enough.
They are claiming their "experts" know about something when obviously they know nothing. They know how to wiggle out of contracts. This company needs to go under. QUICK!

AMAZON IS AMAZING AND FIXED MY ISSUE IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES.

DO NOT! GET THIS INSURANCE
