Got this when I bought my phone 3 years ago and thankfully haven't needed it until now. After paying the premium ($8/month) for 3 years I went to see if I could get my screen repaired after it getting dropped at work. The original $49.00 service fee was increased to $170 because my phone was "already for reimbursement". Despite not wanting to turn in my phone for the reimbursement, they still required $170 service fee to return me $800 for the full price of the phone before tax, meaning I only really get ~$600 back rather than only repairing the perfectly functional cracked screen. Don't waste your time with this coverage. Samsung will replace my screen for the same price of the service fee alone, not to mention 3 years of paying the premium.

When replacing my phones at my phone carrier I always purchase the insurance; it is always Asurion. Asurion is very helpful and easy to speak with if there is ever a problem. They stand by any product they are insuring. Will always use.

09/09/2021: UPDATE! 6 MONTHS SINCE I'VE HAD THIS PLAN AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT PROVIDED ANY ASSISTANCE...but they take my money EVERY MONTH! JUS HORRIBLE! YE O GE ANY HELP! WORS When I called to get assistance with setting up my cellphone, one of the things they are supposed to provide, I ended up speaking to someone in Asia; the guy wanted my Amazon order number, my name as it appears on my Amazon account and more information than he was entitled to. After providing all that information, he told me that there was no coverage!!! When I asked for a supervisor, he told me, "They're going to tell you the same thing"...then hung up on me! I've called them several times now and have failed o assist me! HORRIBLE C/S! I actually called my cable and internet provider who provided me with the best help ABSOLUTELY FREE! I CANNOT RECOMMEND ASURION...this was terrible! I think talking to even a neighbor would be more helpful than these people who ask for an awful lot of information they are NOT entitled to! I hope I'm not a victim of identity theft at this point! Very angry with them!

I've had a lot of experience navigating websites to return and cancel products. This has been by far the most difficult. There are no direct links on the Amazon page. When I Googled it, I tried to navigate through instructions, but there was no contact page for seller as described. Then I found a chat but that led to a dead end. Then I found a phone number which led me to a customer service which could not directly help me. They gave me a phone number for Amazon's Asurion. When I went through pressing endless buttons for a call back, the customer service person answering could not hear me. I called back numerous times waiting on hold for 35 minutes or asking for a call back and when it says it's connecting me, I am put on hold again. I still have been unable to cancel my coverage after an hour and a half of my time!!!

Why do I have to jump through hoops to cancel my plan? It says cancel anytime and how easy it is, but I've been trying to figure out how for 3 days!!!

I broke my phone 2 weeks ago and they kept sending my back and forth from customer service and claim help. No matter what I provided for my claim (a facilitation form and receipts) it was always "invalid." The people on the line were also talking like robots, so it's not even like speaking with an actual person. Asurion has horrible customer service and horrible communication. My phone still hasn't been fixed and I've cancelled my subscription with them, now I'm gonna have to pay 300$ to get my phone fixed. Words cannot describe how awful this has been.
