I've used this insurance a couple of times and each time the service is prompt and I've been happy with the service. You don't always need insurance but it's nice when you do and I would buy ASURION again. Most recently I had an issue with an appliance. They paid for shipping and after their review they refunded my cost. All happened within about five days.

Back in 2020 we bought an expensive smart oven that was also amazing. Being so expensive, we thought it was smart to buy a 4-year protection plan to extend the product's 2-year warranty. And so we did. The oven broke last year, not completely broke, but the door spring and some functions were no longer working. Although we started a warranty claim through the oven company, we used it so much that just kept it until we missed the 2-year warranty deadline. The oven company was going to repair the oven, not replace it, which meant we would get our oven back, but with all the grime that accumulates after using it daily for 2 years.

After we missed the original warranty deadline, we initiated our claim with the Asurion 4-year protection plan we had bought together with the oven. The claim was done through their online chat. And within 10 minutes it was approved. They scheduled a UPS driver to pick up the oven with a prepaid return label. We just had to get the oven properly packed in a box and have it ready for shipping.

Next day, the UPS driver picked up the oven and it took 3 days to get to the repair center. One hour after getting the notification that the oven had arrived at the repair center, we got notified that we were getting an Amazon gift card for the amount we originally paid for the oven. No questions asked. With that Amazon gift card we bought the same oven, just new. Of course, that purchase has also been protected with the same Asurion plan.

We have other expensive appliances covered by Asurion. Fortunately, none if them have broken, except the oven. We're very happy with the result and definitely recommend adding the Asurion coverage to the products you buy.

I have now spent more than 4 hours and at least 90 minutes by phone trying to resolve this claim issue. Everything worked fine initially. I followed all of your steps to provide all pertinent purchase details and we even mailed the Breville oven back in its original packaging.

When I was assured that I would be reimbursed, I went out and bought a replacement oven. Now, after speaking to a customer service rep and Dana, a supervisor, at Asurion, I am being told that the only possible way to make good on the previously promised reimbursement is that I need to start up a different Gmail account and that MIGHT resolve my issue to allow us to receive our gift card! Are you serious? Two people suggested that I might find a trusted friend or family member who could try to receive the credit for me? It boggles my mind to consider how podunk this operation may be pretending to offer quality assurance.

I have been repeatedly told that you can’t credit my Amazon account and that this happens with your other Comcast customers and that no other form of reimbursement can be offered. How many Amazon customers have Comcast accounts? Amazon likely has hundreds of thousands if not a million plus customers who use Comcast. What's next? We mailed the check and Louis DeJoy lost it? Too bad?

That is outrageous! Whoever runs your credit and service divisions simply HAS to find a way to honor your policies. My hope is that somebody in your company understands how basic of a request that this is from a customer point of view. If you offer a credit, you need to honor that or resolve the issue with a major internet provider rather than refusing to take care of any customer. Amazon is now working to help Asurion to better understand customer service. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well.

Bought a commercial Keurig for my house. With only 3 months to go on my four year warranty - the pod mechanism just fell apart. Asurion gave me a full refund for the original purchase amount.

I have one concern though. I bought a new coffee maker (with Asurion) to replace the old one before applying for the warranty support. I loved the new coffee maker so much, I bought another for my home office after getting the refund from Asurion for the commercial one. When I bought the second Asurion warranty for the second coffee maker, the cost went up almost 30%... So, if they're tracking your warranty redemption (I've only done it once) the cost may be prohibitive thereafter.

Thanks Asurion for covering the full amount though. Appreciate it!

Have never had much faith in extended warranties, but Asurion has changed that. Once they realized that our vacuum sealer could not be repaired, they immediately issued a gift card to cover the cost.

My Breville Smart Oven had the plug melt and my claim was handled quickly; it was declared "unfixable" and I was sent an Amazon credit for the amount of the policy. The only downsides were 1. Packing up a whole huge appliance to ship and 2. Their website wouldn't let me submit a claim and kept erroring out. I eventually managed to submit a claim via chat, but that also didn't work several times I tried using it. I don't know if it's honestly just a poorly made website or if it's one of those things where companies try to create as many barriers as possible to using their service, but that was a bit frustrating.

That said, I purchased another policy for my replacement oven because they really came through on this one.
