We bought the four-year plan insurance for a coffee pot that we purchased through Amazon. When we had issues with the coffee pot, it was extremely easy to activate the insurance policy. In just a couple days, we had a new coffee pot paid for by the insurance plan which was very inexpensive . It was a real no-brainer. I highly recommend the Asurion Insurance plans!

I purchased a espresso machine along with the Asurion warranty as extra protection. It turned out to be worth every penny because 2 months after the factory warranty ended, the espresso machine broke. I filed a claim with Asurion online and the next day UPS dropped off the return shipping label because I didn't have the package ready for return. After returning the espresso machine, they send me a gift card right away for the full purchased price. I am very satisfied with their service and plan to use them again in the future.

We needed to use it after our coffee maker broke down well after the manufacturer’s warranty expired. It was easy to make our claim and get our $$$. Two “cons” were having to get the refund back as an Amazon gift card ; and the other was that we needed to send the broken unit back. But I guess that keeps people from abusing the insurance…and the gift card will be used.

I am someone who tends to buy an extended warranty on most electronic items I buy through Amazon when offered. Truth be told, I would have to say that I really haven't needed to actually use it that often. Recently, however, I had some issues with a couple of items and needed to try to see what they could help me with. Two of the items were insured through Asurion. I would have to say I have never had such a great experience with a warranty claim as I did with Asurion recently.
Initially, I was logging on to just make a claim for 1 item that had stopped working. I went on the website and provided the information they asked for (which was readily available on my Amazon order). I ended up speaking with an agent through an on-line chat. She was very courteous and efficient and had approved my claim for reimbursement of my entire purchase price within minutes.
While I had her on the line, so to speak, I mentioned another item I wasn’t sure if it would be covered or not. I had purchased a ZWILLING Fresh & Save Vacuum Sealer Machine Starter Set that included the vacuum pump, a large glass vacuum food storage container, and some bags. I absolutely loved the set. It said that both the glass container & lid were dishwasher safe!
Anyone with half a brain would know though, that even if something is “dishwasher safe”, you wouldn’t put plastics on the bottom rack. Unfortunately, my husband does not fall into that category. He had put the lid (which is made of a plastic) on the bottom rack and it melted slightly, impairing its ability to create a vacuum. (I had been extremely upset and aggravated as I’m not completely sure he didn’t do it on purpose so I would never ask him to do the dishes again.) Anyway, at the time, I had not even thought of the warranty.
After I explained this to the Asurion customer service agent and gave her the info on my order # and Asurion plan #, she put me on a brief hold, then returned and stated that they would refund me for the whole set since they could not fix it. The whole process for making the claim on both items took no more than 15 minutes.
After getting off the phone, I checked my email and there were return labels & instructions for both items. I boxed them up, slapped the return labels on, and had my husband drop them at UPS. By the next day, Asurion had already sent me an email with my reimbursement information (which was a code that loaded the funds onto my Amazon account) and reimbursed me for the entire purchase price of both items. This experience was so awesome, I have been raving to all my friends & family and I would not hesitate to purchase a warranty through Asurion in the future.

I was so happy to receive the Amazon gift card via e-mail to reimburst the original purchase price the same day, but unable to transfer the money into my account. It's all because Asurion forgot to tell me that I have to index the claim # not copy and past then it worked; claim # is in the instruction not to the right of the gift catd. It was confusion at first, but if Asurion can make it clearer, customer will be even happier and less phone calls made to Amazon and Asurion.
