Well my son dropped his iPhone 8 and shattered the glass LCD screenAfter waiting three hours for it to be repaired I was told that there was nothing to be doneThe Repair attack at your break I fix said that the item has been blacklistedHe gave the phone back to me in worse condition than it was before I gave it to themNow I have to wait for Asurion call me Within three days to discuss the outcomeDon’t waste your money this company is the worst I’ve seen

They covered the price I spent on an IPhone for my grandson. It completely died and with the Asurian, they gave me a credit with Amazon to purchase him another that. They were very helpful❤. Thankful that I purchased the coverage.

Value is +/- depending on how you look at it...& whether the product you are insuring, you paid more towards the lower end of the insurance $ amount range or the higher end. It also does not account for inflation replacement costs for the/comparable item. It also doesn't consider the normal retail average retail price of time either, if you bought it on sale. Bottom line, better than a plan from seller/manufacturer...
Flexible with getting your replacement first before sending your broken item & generally no deductible & always pre-paid RMA label.

Paid $70 for a phone protection plan then they charged an extra $40 "processing fee" to fix the cracked screen - would have been cheaper to pay for the screen replacement outright. Their repair center didn't have the parts and told us we would have to wait a week to get them. Then they suggested we just call Asurion and tell them they don't have the parts and just to replace the phone. (not sure why we needed to do that rather than the "Asurion repair center") After a very long wait on hold they said they were waiting for the repair center to approve the replacement but couldn't get them to answer the phone - all while I was waiting in the lobby of the repair center. Finally they tell us that after the repair center updates something they'll contact us to send a check. I immediately receive an email that says our phone has been repaired and now has a 12 month warranty on the screen (that was not replaced) and the guy at the counter takes the phone away and says he needs to keep it. (with our data and SIM card) Of course this was unacceptable so I took the phone back and backed up the data, removed the SIM card amidst much protest from the repair center. In the end we were forced to surrender a working phone with a simple crack in the screen and replace the entire phone with a brand new one with no assurance that we would be reimbursed (and still have not been). Furthermore it will take several days for a new phone to get here and my daughter will be without her phone which she uses to coordinate rides for school activities. Several hours of frustration plus several hours finding a suitable replacement (her model no longer available new, trying to find an affordable replacement that works on our network was not easy - if you've bought a phone on Amazon you know what I mean - there are a lot of phones that don't work on US networks or only work on certain carriers. All of this frustration could easily have been avoided but the process through Asurion was terrible. I do not recommend them.

I accidently ran over my phone with a golf cart on a Sunday, had the full price for my phone by Tuesday. I took it to a local cell phone fix-it shop that Asurion wanted me to take it to and they took care of it from there. My phone was completely inoperable which means they weren't able to get my IMEI number off of my phone, I was lucky Metro was able to get it for me. I took a pic with an old phone (I use around the house) of my new phone IMEI so I'll always have it just in case. 5 stars for Asurion!

Let me start with the fact that I had to make a claim. Busted screen and sharp glass made it impossible to use. Asurion decided it was not cost effective to repair the phone so they would reimburse me the purchase price.
Sounds good right? Well, you have to first send in the busted phone, wait until they process your return and an additional 24-48 hrs before you get the money needed to purchase a new phone. So then you have to wait for the new phone to be shipped to you!
Plus, since I purchased the broken phone on Amazon, they are giving the reimbursement in the form of an Amazon gift card. So you will HAVE to purchase the next phone off of Amazon as well.
Also, it is supposed to be possible to enter your claim online. Would not work for me, do I had to call in to the tech support line and have one of their tech guys enter the claim for me.
I sent in the package and according to UPS it arrived 2 days ago. No update on my claim online however. Still just says "in progress".
I am having to work off an old phone until I can purchase the new one and I have to say that I do not understand why I should have to wait until they receive my broken phone in the first place!!! I understand they want to get the product back, but there are other ways to ensure that happens! Living without a phone is unacceptable!!!
The only positive things I can say about this plan is that they have agreed to pay my claim and the Asurion associate that did it was very nice and helped within his power. I have nothing but good things to say for him.
