TV quit working after 18 months. Service contract was for 3 yrs. TV no longer made. No fix or replacement was attempted. instead, a full refund was given! Wow
Had a '65 TV under their warranty that I put in a repair claim for...Their customer service was very helpful and their response was prompt... They were unable to do a repair so they just paid me off... While this is fine and appreciated it still bothers me that a TV less than three years old is going to the dump...Was there NO way to attempt to swap it our or try repairing it? Or was it just more cost-effective to not bother and buy me off?
This coverage plan was delivered within hours after I purchased this along with the t.v. I purchased it for. I always purchase these with any electronic equipment purchase. Luckily, I've only had to use the coverage warranty one time. It was an EXTREMELY easy transaction. No pain involved. The repair company came out, inspected it & determined it would have to be taken to their shop. Four days the called to tell me it was fixed & also to set up a date to return it. Upon return they brought in the t.v. Hooked it up & literally set it back up. All in all I was impressed because I heard nothing but nightmares about getting service with the warranties & how it is a waste of time to purchase it to begin with.
Please be very careful when choosing to purchase this plan. This is not an extended warranty. From my understanding, with every electronic device I've ever purchased, manufacturers covered all damages including accidental.
Asurion only covers accidental damages on PORTABLE DEVICES. This doesn't cover T.V.s.
I found this exceptionally misleading; however live and learn. Please double check before purchasing, this is only for in-panel defects.
