We had to return plan because the printer we purchased the plan for stopped working after less than 2 months. We had no hassle with Asurion about the return of the plan.

My Monitor was almost 4 years old when it died. I was not happy when they told me I had to ship it to their repair center. I didn’t have a box, so had to pay UPS to securely package it. Asurion paid the return shipping. After a week, I received a notice that it was beyond repair and I would receive an Amazon gift card in the amount of the original purchase. Needless to say I was surprised and happy. I recommend Asurion for monitors and electronics.

After receiving the printer back from Asurion from "repairs", the problem was not solved. Same prior error message showed up upon the initial starting of the printer. Asurion now requires that I re-return the printer (time #2) for a "rework" --- their words. I reviewed the Repair Details listed on the repair summary from Asurion, and the error message problem was not mentioned (??). Who knows what was done. Reading HP's discussion of this error message , it is not a simple problem: "The HP printer error 59.F0 may be caused due to the failure in transfer alienation. Transfer alienation is a situation in which the Intermediate Transfer Belt (ITB) gets stuck and does not fully rotate. Another possible reason for the error 59.F0 in the HP printer can be a problem with the SR9 sensor. The SR9 sensor plays a pivotal role in the transfer-roller-disengagement sensor which can also be called Sensor K. The 59.F0 Error can be eliminated by resetting the toner and the fuser assembly. You may also try revitalizing your HP device. In addition, you can check for any issue in the fuser motor as well as the internal motor. If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue." My guess is Asurion did little or nothing to address the issue. Don't buy Assurion Protection Plans unless you want to return the defective printer four times to get a refund of the purchase price. Also avoid renewed printers from Amazon.

I was really pleased that they sent me a box for the product to be sent to a repair facility to attempt a repair. My item was apparently not repairable but I quickly received an amazon gift card for the policy face value. Would buy coverage on high use product again
