M monitor that in bought failed within a week of the warrenty expiration. I opened a case with Assurion and they requested that i me send the monitor to them with a prepaid label. After receiving the monitor they determined it could not be fixed and they refunded my full purchase price, minus taxes , immediately.

I've used this service twice to help me connect two different printers. They were very courteous and guided me step-by-step with what to do. When they could not help, they connected me with help from the printer's manufacturer, and the problem was resolved. In one case, they refunded my money quickly when the printer could not be installed.

Asurion is a bit of a puzzle. While Amazon shows invoice of Asurion, date of purchase, invoice number, there is no clear indication of what product is being covered. The description is both generic and misleading.
It is far easier to purchase the product you desire to protect from another vendor.
Not too long-ago Amazon supported the product manufacturers' warranties. This is no longer the case.
Now product warranty is scummed to profit. The Seller requires the purchaser to deal directly with a manufacturer. And that rabbit hole is mostly a waste of time or too difficult for many purchasers to manage.
Amazon used to be both a product seller and a service provider. Service is still listed on their website as available from different departments. But the erosion of damaged, failed, counterfeit, junk items, which are abandoned by the seller after a 30-day period and sometimes by the manufacturer leaves too many buyers out of pocket and frustrated.
However, Amazon has made buying and delivery services the most efficient, desirable and reliable purchasing method on the planet.

I got the protection plan on a renewed GTX 1080 video card ($278) because I was uncomfortable purchasing a used card. It died after 6 months. Luckily, I purchased the plan. The online warranty website didn't seem to understand that this was a renewed card and instructed me to contact the manufacturer, which I knew was BS since renewed equipment only is warrantied for 90 days. I contacted Asurion and got a very helpful support person who understood my issue. I mailed the old card back with a prepaid UPS label so they could check out the card. After a few days I got an email stating that the card was beyond repair and issued me a full refund on an Amazon card. The insurance is worth it for a renewed product.

The warranty is digital but easy to look up through amazons website. I don't have a printer so getting the mailing information printed took time and i was not with internet for 2 weeks. I live in BFE so that means no wi-fi calling.

Problem solved fast with awesome customer service and my nice has now this expensive equipment working. Otherwise I would have lost $ 300! So glad I purchased this plan with the device... it was the best investment ever! Never knew I would have to use it. so soon!
