Bought a 300+ dollar Panasonic microwave and it failed after less than 2 years. Of course Panasonic offered no support or warranty and I failed to realize I had purchase the asurion plan. Logged into a Siri on and it had my purchase already there and opened a claim. They asked me to go through Panasonic first but Panasonic only offered 1 year support/warranty, so Asurion opened a claim and asked for pics to confirm my device was the one purchased and after confirming (about 5 days) they sent me a gift card for the purchase amount. Overall I am completely satisfied because now I am not out over $300 and able to use my gift card to buy a new microwave.
In the few times that we have actually had to use it, it's been a dream. Whatever broke was fixed or a new one dispatched to us. I know some people will balk at the price, but when you are buying something expensive, this is the way to go.
At start, the warranty service was very poor: I must have submitted proof of purchase over 1/2 dozen times, call them just as many. Yet each time they would refuse to process my claim. Finally, I called Amazon Customer service and got results: the warranty company accepted my claim and has reimbursed the amount I paid for the item because it could not be repaired.
To Be honest I’ve Read some Bad reviews for Asurion Protection Plan but in my case it was handled all on live Chat and in 10 Minutes they paid my Claim and I got a credit for the whole amount back to May Amazon account. Thank you Asurion
When my crazy-expensive coffee maker began developed an electrical problem after 14 months, I made a claim and was sent a postage-paid label to return it and was reimbursed the full cost immediately. I am so glad I bought this warranty!
