I have two other 5qt ceramic Kitchenaid bowls, and compared to these, this one is HEAVY. It also definitely looks like it's bigger, but I think it's only very slightly bigger, and just thicker ceramic. I have attached a picture of my dish drying mat, which this bowl left a deep mark in when I set it there to dry - my other ceramic bowls don't leave any mark when left to dry on this same mat.The bowl fits on my 5qt mixer, which is what really matters. I don't think it looks as good with my particular color mixer as my other bowls do, but I don't plan to keep this one on display on the mixer anyway. I do like the color by itself. I've only used this bowl once and it already has some marks from my kitchen utensils on the white inside part, but I don't care because for one of these ceramic bowls which works with my mixer, $50 is a great price!
I purchased this KitchenAid 5-QT ceramic bowl in majestic yellow at the same time as I purchased my KitchenAid 5-Qt Artisan tilt-head stand mixer in majestic yellow. The bowl matches the mixer perfectly! I keep the bowl on the stand mixer on my counter. Everyone that comes into my kitchen comments on how beautiful they are! I call them 'Yellow Beauty' :) . I hardly use the stainless steel bowl that came with the mixer. I love using this ceramic bowl. I like the big handle to grab onto and the pour spout, though often I have dough that I don't pour anyway. Note, it is quite heavy! Clean up is a breeze. I have had it for over six months and have used it quite often. I think it will last nearly for ever! But, if it doesn't, I will definitely buy another. Attached is a picture of my mixer and this bowl and the first thing I made with them, coconut cream filled macarons.

This bowl is great! Not only does it look nice with my cocoa silver mixer but it is better than the metal bowl. I make a lot of sticky bread doughs and it doesn't stick to the sides at all. I don't have to scrape the sides as much and it rinses clean very easily. It is heavy as others have noted. I hesitated to buy it because I didn't really need another bowl but my husband encouraged (pushed) me to get it anyway. I thank him every time I use it.
This bowl is way cheaper than even another stainless bowl. Very thick. Once you have the base aligned correctly it locks in tightly and with ease. I can't wait to use it and my metal bowl to make chocolate mousse pie.

This bowl is great. After reading other reviews about the glass bowls breaking, i decided to go with the ceramic one. It is a lot heavier than the stainless bowl that came with my mixer so it takes a little more muscle to use and clean it. Its very sturdy and seems well designed. It has a much bigger handle to hold onto and a pouring spout which my original bowl didnt have. The only downside I see, is that the splash guard that came with the original bowl doesnt fit this bowl. It is unfortunate, but not a dealbreaker. The joy that i receive when i walk by the new ceramic bowl is worth the extra trouble. Im very visual and this bowl makes me smile. My mixer is majestic yellow and so is the bowl i purchased.
I love this bowl! It looks so much nicer than the stainless steel one. My husband bought me the white as a present. I would have loved the blue or yellow as well, but white is nice too. This bowl is a lot taller than my orginal bowl which is great. I love the pour spout. It is VERY heavy, which is both good and bad. It feels like it will last, doesn't feel fragile at all, but the weight can make it hard when you are holding it up as you scrap batter out of it.

It is very sturdy and practical! We always leave it on our Kitchen Aid not only because it’s the bowl we most often use but also because it’s a quite elegant looking bowl. Two thumbs up from us! 👍👍
It has a great weight to it, love the handle and pour spout. Fits well with my 4.5 quart mixer. It looks adorably like an enormous coffee cup which we enjoy. I havent tried chilling it for a dough but the quality is such that I look forward to trying it
