    I bought this case a few months ago. Wanted to wait to write a review. The plastic started chipping around the edges in pieces in a couple months. It hasn’t been dropped or abused. Just every day use. Last week, the iPad just popped off the case and luckily I caught it. And it has happened twice since then. I guess you get what you paid for. Now looking for a new case

    My parents had an old iPad 2 from years ago and the keyboard was an expensive Bluetooth connected full keyboard that was clunky and added to the general weight of the entire iPad. When I gifted them a new iPad, knowing that neither of them really ever used the keyboard functionalities of the old cover, I decided to get a slim profile iPad cover that was nice and sleek and still protected the device. And at a much better price point than the fancy Bluetooth one from years ago!

    The iPad fits into the case very nicely and perfectly and all the buttons work great. The opening and closing of the case also locks and unlocks or brightens up the iPad screen, which is really nice and smart. The profile is amazing; doesn’t add much width at all and is nice to carry, although it could occasionally be a little slick. My mom likes to watch a lot of shows so the stand function was a necessity and this case/magnets handles it extremely well and makes it very easy.

    For the protection aspect, I wasn’t really worried about dropping the iPad, just based on prior interactions with it. For that reason, I did not get a heftier case. Just mainly wanted a case to protect it when putting it on countertops and tables and to hold it up in a stand format when watching things in landscape mode. I would say a case like this is best suited for just basic interactions. I’m not sure what would happen if you were drop this although carpet might be fine.

    I bought this intending it to be a temporary solution for my new 5th Gen. iPad. It's such a new model that there aren't many different cases out yet and I thought I would give this a try since the price is so low. At least I wouldn't be out much if it turned out to be junk. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to see that it's a quality product!

    The ESR case is similar to Apple's Smart Cover except that it also includes a hard plastic shell to cover the back of the iPad as well. The shell fits snugly and securely, the cutouts for the speakers, lightning port, mic, and camera align perfectly, and the volume and power buttons are covered but easily pressed. Just like the official Smart Cover, this cover is magnetic and turns the iPad on when opened and off when closed. It snaps securely to the edge of the iPad and provides a decent two-level stand when folded up in back. Keep in mind though that the thin plastic shell won't provide much protection if dropped from even a modest height. It's there more to protect against scratches but it's still more protection than Apple's front cover only.

    I'll update my review if anything changes but for now, this will do quite nicely!

    After being somewhat disappointed with my official $39 Apple Pad Smart Case, I didn't know what I'd get with this $11.99 ESR iPad Smart Case. But the price was right and the reviews pretty good. So I took a chance. The main thing that appealed to me was that the ESR case provides both front and back protection for my 2017 iPad, whereas the Apple version does not.

    I received the ESR promptly after ordering, in perfect condition and well packaged. The iPad snapped into the case perfectly and all the buttons worked fine. I was prepared for the "smart" function not to work properly but it worked fine, turning the iPad on and off when the cover was opened and closed. I later added an Anker tempered glass screen protector to the iPad and wondered if the smart function would still work since the screen protector is kind of thick. No worries, the case still closed securely with the smart function intact.

    The only negative feature I've encountered is that the case is very slick and slippery. Which makes it slightly harder to hold and pick up off a flat surface. Aside from that, the ESR iPad case is a well-designed top-notch product at a superior price that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I later added an Anker tempered glass screen protector to the iPad and wondered if the smart function would still work since the screen protector is kind of thick. No worries, the case still closed securely with the smart function intact.

    The only negative feature I've encountered is that the case is very slick and slippery. Which makes it slightly harder to hold and pick up off a flat surface. Aside from that, the ESR iPad case is a well-designed top-notch product at a superior price that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

    Note: The attached photos show the ESR case next to the Apple case and by itself with the iPad installed. Cheers.

    Me ha encantado este producto,

    -El producto viene embalado en su caja y precintada ,lo cual ya me ha gustado , cuando abres la caja viene con su garantía y como un blister goma espuma para evitar que se pueda romper. Le doy 5 estrellas en este aspecto.

    -Al abrir el producto el tacto es agradable si bien me creía que la parte trasera era de silicona ( no se donde lo vi pero estaba en que era de silicona ),es de un plástico semi-rígido y la delantera viene como acartonada pero con iman para poderla poner en varias posiciones, es muy similar a la original pero si noto que la original es más ligera y flexible , a no ser que con el tiempo se valla amoldando. En este aspecto también le doy 5 estrellas.

    -Al introducir la tablet en su funda entra perfectamente pero si me doy cuenta que el botón de encendido/apagado se queda pillado, y es que viene tan dura la pestaña de plástico que cubre el botón que lo deja aprisionado, este aspecto se soluciona o bien quitando la pestaña y se quedaría el botón al aire (que no afecta para nada a su funcionamiento) o en su defecto con un cuchillo o destornillador levantar un poco el botón de la funda para que no esté tan pegado a la tablet y no lo presione ( eso si se queda un poco sobresaliente ) ,pero se puede solucionar este pequeño problemilla , los demás botones encaja a la perfección : subida y bajada de volumen, entrada para cargar la table y jack para escuchar música , cuando cierras la funda la tablet se apaga y se queda como imantada y cuando abres la funda la tablet se enciende(me gusta este detalle).En este punto le doy 3 estrellas por el motivo del botón que se queda aprisionando el apagado ( pero como he dicho tiene solución).

    -Y por último el tacto con la funda puesta es agradable y te da la sensación de que está bien protegida, yo tengo puesto un protector de pantalla y no afecta para nada, no lo levanta a la hora de encajar la funda , desde mi punto de vista es muy recomendable y a mi me ha gustado mucho, lo aconsejo al 100%
