Works for ATT if you already have an IMEI set in your account with a # that ATT recognizes already.
Attached is a picture of the APN settings: settings>SIM cards & mobile settings>SIM 1 (depends on which side of your sim slot you put your card)>Access Point Names>+ New APN (or edit auto APN that might be there already)
Then you just fill in the info that is in my attached photo
You have to make sure VoLTE is enabled to be able to make calls without setting your 'preferred network' to 3g in order to make calls. The toggle switch for VoLTE wasn't showing up for me in the settings so I had to go into dialer code settings.
In your phone dialer you type:
*#*#86583#*#*
'VoLTE Carrier check was disabled' will pop up.
Now the toggle will be listed in your sim card settings and an icon will appear next to the signal bars in the top right that sit left to your battery indicator.
Had traded in a provided device ATT sent me since they're shutting down 3g and got 800 off the z 3 flip. So that IMEI is what's registered with them, this is why the sim works for me. You have to have an IMEI ATT recognizes that's at least a 4g phone in order to just pop in an ATT sim in a foreign phone. No need to try and update ATT on your new phone's IMEI because it won't work. Since I wanted 5g so I made sure the IMEI that is on my account was for a 5g capable phone, hence Z 3 flip.
I'm going to sell the Z flip on ebay and pocket the difference since this phone was so much cheaper, but ironically has better battery, cameras, and is overall just a better design.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ On everything once I had things programmed correctly. No comments on face recognition, since I don't use it.
