    Moneytalk Financial Foundation, a 501c3 charitable non-profit, provided backpacks and school supplies for 1,059 students in two local Title 1 elementary schools. These backpacks were used for the pre-kindergarten students.As a result, we ordered 35 boxes (35,000) of these #2 pre-sharpened pencils. Some of the boxes arrived opened with pencils everywhere. They were all pre-sharpened as expected and nothing was broken. But, the boxes need to be better secured during shipping.It is hard to find #2 pencils at a reasonably cost that are pre-sharpened, which is what the schools wanted. Most of the pencils are not sharpened at all.

    I was originally skeptical of a brand that I had never heard of before, but the price was great and I pack over 100 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, so I thought I would give them a try. I sharpened up a half dozen of them, with a small handheld pencil sharpener. They were easy to sharpen, didn't break while sharpening and wrote well. When packing for shoeboxes, I like to be sure that the item is of good quality, so I used several of these for over a month and was very pleased with their performance!

    My biggest concern buying these was that there would be a bunch of duds in the box. So far, they're all good. I'm a teacher and don't believe in giving kids a hard time if they show up to class without a pencil....even that one kid that shows up everyday without the pencil you gave them yesterday. Anyhow, the pencils are good and at this unit price it makes is somewhat affordable to give that kid a pencil everyday, even if I have to use my own money to buy them....

    Great product for the price however was bagged this time for shipping instead of boxed as in the past. This caused the original packaging to break causing the product to scatter inside the bag leading to some damage to the pencils. The damage was minimal however the mess of having to wrangle 1000 pencils into another container for transport and storage was inconvenient, not to mention having to re sharpen 150 or so pencils that were ordered pre sharpened for a reason was also aggravating. Will order again but please Amazon, box not bag next time.

    I'm a middle school English teacher.

    Pictures of the other product reviewers have shown pictures of the product in various states of packaging that was questionable.

    All of mine delivered nicely and neatly stacked, even though I accidentally stabbed myself with one of the tips when I opened the box.

    The tips are very fine. They will need to be sharpened in no time for the end user, who will no doubt use them to press the paper with the force of a gorilla, and you'll wonder why you hear the pencil sharpener buzz every 20 seconds that you are trying to deliver instruction, despite the fact you can tell them until the end of time they're not supposed to do that.

    Bar none, these pencils come at a great price and will still reduce the prep time that you are spending sharpening pencils yourself, for individuals that break them, leave them on the floor, throw them away, or otherwise refuse to put them back in the class pencil box. In other words, the quality and price are entirely acceptable for a generation who appreciates and understands the value of nothing at all.
