Sun shade beach tent, amazing fabric.
I realized very quickly that I’m not going to be able to dry-run set this up in my yard… I need sand to drive the posts in and fill the bags for anchors. I am so very impressed with the quality of this tent set up. The fabric feels AMAZING. I JUST WANT TO WRAP MYSELF UP IN IT. my husband says it feels like a high quality fishing shirt. I think it’s more like a weighted sundress material. The poles are aluminum, and sturdy. They fit together similar to traditional camping tents, but larger in diameter. The straps and stitching are flawless. I also love that this has a storage bag included with PLENTY of room for everything. At $109.99 this is high-end quality and worth the price! I definitely recommend.

This was so easy to put up, however it's a challenge when it's windy. It's almost like sailing.. you just have to find the right angle in the wind to keep it aloft. It provides a great area of shade. Very lightweight so it's not too heavy to carry. I recommend this product. Be aware though some beaches, like Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, doesn't allow anything but umbrellas from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I can see not allowing tents or cabanas where you can't see through them which enables people to engage in activities which aren't public-friendly. However, when this is put up correctly, you can see through it so unless you're a really crude person you won't be engaging in anything that the public shouldn't see.

This is a great shade tent/cover that is really simple to set up. Depending on the sun's direction and the wind speed it could be great or no help at all. If the sun is out on the front/high side of the tent and low in the sky you will have no shade. If it is windy you will need to rethink your sandbags and make sure they are buried, not just on the sand. It only has 2 poles so the back end is low so it is not like a tent where many people can fit under it and all stand up... at the same time. Good for a couple of people but it does have a large surface footprint which takes away from others if you are on a busy Florida Beach in Summer.

The product did what was intended. Took it to the beach and ended up in very hot, slightly windy weather. This product kept the sun off and gave us plenty of room. I was concerned about the wind and durability because the poles seemed like they weren’t sturdy enough to handle the wind, but we didn’t have any issues. Setup took maybe 5 minutes between two of us but mostly my husband and we buried the sandbags and secured them to the harder sand underneath and that worked VERY well. The poles also held up great. It also worked best to double loop the securing devices and tightening to the pole. I didn’t take off a star for the sandbags developing small holes where the securing loops are because it didn’t affect our setup and could have happened due to our trial and error of learning the best setup method. If you do purchase just be mindful of checking those places.

Getting it to stay up was another story. It whipped around in the slightest breeze and was so unstable and unsturdy I took it down about 30 minutes later because I was sure it would blow away.
Maybe if there is absolutely no breeze at all this would maybe be okay- but realistically- just get a tent. With steaks for the ground.
The sandbags would be good for secondary support only.

After using a friend’s similar beach shelter last summer, we were excited to get one of our own. Used this tent for the first time this weekend. It worked pretty well, although set up took a little while. Our toddler loves to “help” so everything takes longer😅. Here are our thoughts:
-love that it comes with its own carry duffel bag. The bag is a little big, but I like that we can quickly fold up the tent and throw everything in…no having to fold it a very particular way to fit into a tiny bag. We just use the extra bag space to hold some of my son’s sand toys.
-shade material is soft and stretchy. A bit on the heavy side, but seems like it will be durable…can’t easily be torn by the tent poles.
-provided lots of shade. Plenty of space for our family of three, but even enough room to fit a couple more adults and their beach if we have friends or grandparents with us…but will be a tight fit.
-definitely takes more than 5 minutes (as listed in the description) to set up. Filling the sand bags alone takes this long. I could possibly do it independently, but way easier with two or more people. Getting it up is fairly straightforward though…easier if it’s not too windy. We brought our own small, metal headed shovel with us to help fill the sandbags and dig holes to bury them. The included shovels are fine, but don’t do as well with packed sand.
-doesn’t stay up on the windiest of day…but I think that is basically the case for most sun shelters. We found that we were able to readjust the poles to change the direction of the tent to work with the wind the best we could.

Overall, glad we have it and looking forward to using it all summer.
