    I purchased this Samsung A14 phone for my mom. She had been using an old S9. She had no problems using this one. I set it up for her to be able to use her voice to.access many commands. It also tells her who is calling from her phone book or if it’s spam it was really easy to set up. I would suggest getting Verizon to help you set up with the SIM card. The customer service reps for Total Wireless were no help at all.
    I tried talking to them for a week with NOTHING getting solved. It was a complete waste time. I even tried to reach the home office but again they give you the customer support number and basically hang up on you. I would suggest going with a different phone service. The phone is available through all other carriers.
    The phone is great. It’s nice that it is the new one with 5G. The price of the phone was great with all its features We got a very good deal.

    I bought this phone to use as a player for music and streaming audio over wifi, so I cannot speak to it's performance as a phone, give an opinion about the cellular service, how well the camera works, etc.

    A big reason I went with this device is because it was released by Samsung this year, so it'll be getting updates for a few years.

    After removing the SIM card before booting it the first time, it went through the normal setup process. I then locked down as much as I could in terms of security, uninstalled the pre-installed stuff I don't want/need, and installed a micro sd card for music storage. After that it's worked great. I'm actually kind of surprised because the specs are lackluster compared to my primary phone. I was able to get it for $60, so I felt that was worth the risk of maybe getting a clunker that runs slow. But it's been quick and smooth running a web browser or a music playing app.

    The phone is a good phone. It does what it’s supposed to and it’s good for my 8 year old daughter…aside from the amount of games she downloads, which takes up a lot of space. But, I bought this phone to add to my Verizon plan because my daughter broke her phone and I don’t realize the importance of a protection plan until this happened 😅 but the phone was not compatible with Verizon. Total is a prepaid plan that uses Verizon’s towers. It was pretty inconvenient to have to ship it back and repay for shipping. I reordered one that works with my plan.

    I have to continually restart my phone for it to stay connected to the Verizon towers. It's very frustrating when it won't accept phone calls or text. It does not say that it's not working, I only find out when I restart the phone and all of a sudden find I have a bunch of texts popping up. The only way I know that I have received phone calls is if somebody leaves a message, and I have to purposely check messages because it doesn't alert me to messages either. I'm not happy. Galaxy A14 G5. It has done this since I purchased the phone. I connect to Wi-Fi and still have issues.
